Where in the states are you?
Are you married?
What type of apartment are you in?
What industry do you work?

Why do people who have already already japa will start discouraging others from leaving. If it's so tough for you, why haven't you returned.

You are right to some extent.
You cannot compare USA and Naija.
Hopefully we will get there someday.
USA is 247 years old,
Nigeria is 63.

But there are some Nigerians abroad that they have been there for donkey years with nothing to show for it you know?!

Let me tell you
In USA a room what you call self contained is $700 per month, you haven't included phone bills, gas and sundries. Most often than not people do more than two jobs to meet up. Think twice before you migrate.

If you can work and you are smart you will make 5k dollars monthly.

Not the type of work that you will do in Nigeria and you will nearly die o

I don’t know why you people just come here and Yarn zoombie. Let me ask you a straightforward question if you are given usa visa and a job of $700 per month here in Nigeria which one will you choose

The boom of remote jobs has come and gone to be sincere. Zoom has mandated their employees to show up to the offices at least three times a week or get fired and the same goes to Amazon employees. Pandemic related tech boom and busted and only very few tech companies are hiring while majority are downsizing due low sales.
You don't need to quit searching but know it not easy to find remote like it use to be two years ago.

TimiRume:

I'm not crazy. Are there still real jobs out here

Checking every moment and not seeing anything can be a bit discouraging. Maybe I should just quit searching here, idunno

I'm actually in need of a remote job since ages. Data entry, Customer service personnel, virtual assistant. I'm ready to put in the whole commitment and hard work needed.

Since early this year I've been on this and still yet to land at something substantial. I'm tired of all the redirected links I've followed from here, joined millions of groups and chatted some guys who said they had jobs but turned out to be smoke. Sigh

The Lord is my strength. And the strength of every other person in my shoes. I'd advise everyone to draw closer to God this period cos trust me you can't handle what is coming alone. We all need that divine comfort and faith to not faint in this period.

I need all the waiting powers and patience right now. Sigh

I can't wait to testify with y'all.

Bro rest, am in Lybia and I can freely tell you that life is easier and balance here than Nigeria, their money here has value, imagine just 56 dinars here is 10k in naija.. if you recharge your phone with just 5dinars you will talk and talk and talk..going to market if you don't have money Arabu are nice to give you food items but they detaste theft, they can kill you for that..lots more...in short if you come here and maintain your lane, you will enjoy...but our Nigeria people have spoil that name Nigeria.. because most Arabu has one or two bad experience with Nigerian they melt..imagine even Arabu is confident to give car, bus, trailer to sudanese,Niger, Ghanaian to drive but not Nigerian..so funny

We concur and agree with that absolutely 💯
We shall get there because the USA will be stagnant in one place Abi?
When almost everything that you guys consume are imported.

Blame opposition politics for turning Nigerians from Budding Entrepreneur Types to Job Seeker types. For opposition politics, Job seekers are more of a political weapon than business seekers. So Opposition politics bludgeoned Nigerians endlessly with accusation of stupidity and timindity for being individuals with a self help mentality instead hounding government for work . The advantage ordinary Nigerians had over other Africans was entrepreneurial spirit, Nigerians have lost or are loosing that spirit and are thus becoming as wretched, hopeless, helpless, needy and aid seeking as africans on the rest of the continent. Pitied and looked down upon by the rest of the world outside Africa.

have you bother to check what % of one's wages that is? As we speak now the new wave of new buildings ie 2 bed flat will now cost from N1m and above cos of the way materials are rising in cost.If a hustler can afford to Send $500 to his savings account back home he is at per or better off than his colleague who sit in an office with pay of N500k and no security.

Desperation is real but if you ever witness what people do with slaves, you will never wish it to your worst enemy. While traveling to a better country is a step up, traveling to some countries is a step down, and you can lose it all.
