She will be going alone (A hard and tough decision i must confess) leaving the me and my 5 months old baby till when things are soft for us to join her.

I don't know how easy or how soon it will be for her to send invite for us to join her.
How's life in the UK with a single mum?

Who have passed through this situation and how did you people pull through
Usually, things are not very difficult in the UK. To be Frank, she should be able to bring you and your Kid within her first 4 months in the UK. So, if you're willing to relocate to the UK, I will urge you to start now to get ready. Like apply for your Passport and that of your kid.
It's a tough decision for her to leave her baby behind, but I can assure you that UK is a good place to live and raise your kids.

5 months old baby is too young for a man to care for by himself while the wife is outside the country. My 2 Kobo advice is to give the child to your wife's female relatives or yours. Then hustle hard to join her.later.

What is the statistics of men who are left with an infant, a five month old breastfeeding one when the woman is alive and well? There's No where in the world where it'll be it be a first recourse unless in VERY extreme cases. No family court will even consider it unless the woman is a danger to herself and the infant.

Send the baby to her mom or your mom and allow her to go and hustle. Do it for the child. Imagine if she was late, won't the baby survive

Let's just safely assume that you're stupid. You're studying child psychology but suggesting a woman leaves a baby that should be breastfeeding with a man.

I will safely assume you struggle with ignorance.

I guess you opted for selective blindness when you skipped reading where I wrote he should get their female relatives involved in the child care while he continues to learn child minding? If the man is a widower, how would he have coped?

Go to Youtube and watch many videos of husbands and wives who left for the UK together leaving behind their months old babies behind in Nigeria with their families and some months later after stabilizing in the UK, go back to Nigeria to get their children and travel back to the UK

By the way, I am not studying Child Psychology.....I have already graduated from my Clinical Child Psychology program and licensed to work with children here in the UK. cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

My sister left her 4kids with me for care job in the UK. The kids and their dad will be joining her in 2weeks.

Initially it was tough, the cold, bad colleague and housing issues but she said it's the best decision she ever made. She has a job and can provide for her children unlike her in Nigeria.

Why didn't she put you and the baby as dependents when she was applying for the job? The company would have sponsored all of you

It's going to be difficult for your wife because working as Paramedic is hard work. The cost of living in the UK is expensive, to get a room/flat/house will be very expensive unless you are living outside London completely.

Secondly before your wife can recoup any money in order for you to come, you should looking at least a year. If all of you can come at once, then your wife will be working and you also can work. (Childcare is an expensive in the UK, remember that)

It's not the most ideal but when that child has access to good education, food, health care and a bright future the sacrifice will be worth it

In this case, i suggest she doesnt go with the baby.

People dont know how tough it will be.

I will suggest she start the process to bring you over ASAP.

In any case, the experience will help with possible moves to the USA or Arab countries.

You better be serious and allow her go..if going with the baby is not gonna be possible, let her go alone o. As someone suggested,if you can't cope, then let a female relative come over to help.
This is a golden opportunity
