I applied for Canada visit visa for me, wife and son since August 2022. Wife and son have gotten their visa since May 2023. Mine is still under background check, I have sent countless webforms with no reply.

* We applied from the UK
* I once had a Canadian student permit refused in 2019
* we all have a US visa

Please what can I do? Can I withdraw this application and apply again or what do you advise house

No, it’s not. Just make sure the invitee signs it

It is not compulsory (optional). People do it to validate the documents mentioned in the invitation letter. For example, if the inviter includes an identity card (PR for instance), bank statements, NOA, etc.

It is optional (except it was indicated on the documents requested in the portal before submitting it (specific to applications from certain countries)).

Someone should please help with urgent advise: I applied as a family group of 3 for a visit visa and we were invited for biometric same day. Same email used for the 3 applicants for visa application forms was also used for biometrics booking.

VFS online booking would only allow 2 to be booked for biometrics at the same time as group, and after booking for 2, it would not allow a separate booking for the 3rd applicant while saying "You have exceeded the maximum no. of allowed appointments." I need two clarifications and advise on how to proceed, please:

1. Is it OK to use another email not used for the visa application to book for biometrics for the 3rd person?
2. How can I correct name typo error/mistake on an already confirmed biometric booking/appointment?

Sorry about the delay, July is a long time to be waiting for spousal VV. It usually takes within 30 days when you have a pending spousal sponsorship.
I'd suggest you (1)Send an compassionate email/webform to Nairobi and Lagos office, mention it's way past the 30 days service time and that the delay is affecting you & your spouse mental health, how challenging immigration & settling in Canada has been for you, and how a resolution of your spouse's visa will help significantly reduce the challenges of immigrating without a family in Canada etc- (state any genuine & compelling reasons they should approve it.)

(2)Find out the member of parliament for where you stay (Provincial riding) and reach out as a constituent, that you'd appreciate he/she helps intervene in your application as it's past the service time and it's affecting your mental health and quality of life in Canada blah blah blah.
It's part of the MP's social responsibility to help you out I think.

this is not entirely true my friend with a pending spousal sponsorship application applied for visiting visa. They never processed it and processed the sponsorship application like 3 months later.

He applied for visiting on business purpose , cos he is traveling to write the trades certification examination in Saskatchewan for artisan. He is kind of confused maybe he is to selet visiting on tourist instead of business purpose
