If he intends to make the platform the number 1 platform for downloading YouTube videos and audios, it has to remain free because there are many competitors out there offering more features and are completely free. This is a nice project. Please I would like to know if any processing is carried out at the backend inorder to extract the audio from the video or does the entire process take place at the front-end?

Nothing would be disastrous if cloned. Even if you employ the best brains to replicate a clone of all google and amazon products, without the hard work which programming and scripting wouldn't do for you, you would make no headway.
Ask big giants like google how many of their products have been abandoned, or cosed down. You think Google haven't tried competing with facebook, twitter, and the rest ?

in as much as I haven't visited the link, I know without doubt that website was made to harvest ADSENSE earnings.

I created something similar in less than 2-minutes but it wasn't meant to download , but to stream without ads. and yea, I meant it when I say it wrote it in less than 2-minutes.

don't bother asking for link, it was for my personal use, hence attached it to one of my websites to be used by just mua.

hate it when adverts keeps interrupting me, but then again, without those ads, the service (youTube) wouldn't be there but...

I see this as a "Yet another YouTube downloader" especially since You have done nothing different from the many in existence.

Maybe you should include the shortcuts that enables one visit and convert a video just by adding 1 or 2 letters on youtube url e.g https://youtube.com/watch?v=asd-qwerty becomes https://youtubepp.com/watch?v=asd-qwerty

Google is known to abandon products that don't gain traction quickly. They love embarking on multiple adventures to compete with similar existing products but once people don't adopt the new products as expected, Google shuts down the product/service.

All I did was set up a form with just a single field which is where I paste any youube Url. then thanks to iframe and the embed endpoint e.g https://www.youtube.com/embed/A6XUVjK9W4o , I am able to play youtube Viideos without ny sort of ADVERT.

ofcourse when you enter any youTube url, with simple string operation, I extract the ID e.g "A6XUVjK9W4o" from https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A6XUVjK9W4o and insert it into https://www.youtube.com/embed/A6XUVjK9W4o

Just needed something highly portable and mobile.

in my line of work, and personally, I hate unnecessary dependencies and could go to great length to avoid them

Elon Musk made Twitter open source and regretted it instantly. Mark Zuckerberg the code base, did a few finetuning, and released Threads.

Even Elon had to file a suit.

No, we don't have any plan to monetize this as Adsense and other Ad networks don't allow that and we don't want to add popups/redirection to spoil user experience. Do you have any good ideas on how can we monetize this?

I pointed out what I did and anyone who understood me would agree it should cost way less than 5-minutes.

Most times, what takes time is the idea, not implementation.

I am not the sort to brag online sir/ma. Neither did I make such comment so as to get clients, in fact i would have shared the link except I don't want to reveal the website url where it resides.
MayBe I would share you a paste code when I've got the time. Nothing complex or to hide there. Maybe other would improve on it
