God bless you sir. I owe you a bottle of palm wine for this. It is nearly 8 years since I published a post here on Nairaland on why it is necessary for people to acquire practical skills. It is obvious the OP is totally skill-less. Tayo Aina the travel vlogger interviewed a Nigerian car electrician who now owns a massive repair shop in South Africa. His story is an eye-opener. Made 60 rands the very first day after he landed. He did not even have a place to sleep.
We don talk talk talk, still they won't here. Japa requires strategic planning. I can't even understand how someone with access to N30m is thinking of leaving the country. To do what really? 30mllion na to die for Naija ooh I am not going anywhere 2 Likes |

Tell them to come with that money they showed the embassy and the university before getting CAS and visa
If you have that money you will be focusing on your studies now and not job and how to pay remaining fees. Is job not the primary reason all of them are japaying? Study my ass 1 Like |

this is why most students when i talk about returning they said they rather die here sleeping in library.

check the students page ane see people saying they have paid deposit. why didn't they pay full? Never sell your land. There is no shame in returning and strategizing. Try your best and if its not working. Return back with your family. |

edited with more info. Sorry about what you are going through. Truthfully, it is not easy moving to a foreign land and settling in. However, I’d advise that you move to a shared apartment. That way you’ll pay less for accommodation. Secondly, while job hunting, register with Agencies as well. There are Agencies around that give shifts to students. Also, network with fellow Nigerians. There are lots of jobs available out there but just not on Indeed. Also walk into these places to apply directly. It works almost all the time. |
