They don't have interest in holding the children back in life unlike another country in another continent where they use the spirit of one ward to train the others and start storey building projects at the age of 70. |

Why won't they sent them packing? Most Nigerians parents would do the same if we have good economy and lots of jobs like in the US. In fact, most Youth would naturally moved out if there was many jobs opportunity 3 Likes |

Melezenawii: There is no limit o what you can achieve from 19 years old in USA. Just make sure at least you attend high school and have normal human basic knowledge. Talking about university is too far , just high school. 1. At 20 you can apply for students loans/agricultural loans/ start up loans to build your life not Bulaba loans 2. In the USA you can work without state of origin, LGA , religion. So there is no limit. An average salary of a pizza delivery man can get him a little run to sleep . In Nigeria at age 19-75 you say na pizza you wan deliver so help me God . 1 Like |

Melezenawii: It's done because they're adults and don't care to live with them. Alot of comes down to friction over house rules or money. It's really that simple. |

saintopus: The USA increasingly is seeing a large number of working adult children living with their parents because of the high cost of living. One American woman with an adult son once stated her adult son (who has a job, by the way) lives with her. The problem was that there was no suitable housing within the son's budget in the city where he worked. The woman joked that searching for a decent accomodation for her son when he was at work was her full time job. When the guy came bak from work, he took over the search (lol). |

Melezenawii: While that is true that many parents pack their kids out on adulthood.. the picture is not as simple as it seems. 1.52% of US adults live with one or both of their parents as at 2020 A similar picture exists in Europe 2.While there are people like the chap in that quora question...(one was even thrown out of his parent's house by court order)...there are many kids who stay with their parents because money is not enough at all, or because they do not have enough cash to pay for rent or for new house, or quite simply they haven;t gotten a job. Especially if they live in big cities. 3.Even those who manage to live on their own, usually share with other people, or rent very tiny spaces....or are as lucky as Monica on the old TV show Friends. (Monica lived in a rent controlled apartment owned by her grandmother...long story, but basically in New York, the city does not allow rent to be raised above a certain price in some city apartments. ) |
