advanceDNA: Lol..it is most likely that the cash worker is on drugs actually. I saw the mail with my eyes. The assertions made by the case worker was false: That, I selected visa duration of 3 years or below while my COS is for 3 years and above. My COS is for 6145 and it's eligible for HCW. I just don't know why the case worker totally neglected it and took it for an ordinary SW visa. I wonder when SOC 6145 became an ordinary SW visa. And again, if they neglected HCW I applied, how come they didn't tell me to pay for IHS? |

Hello everyone, I just stumbled upon this thread. Please I need information concerning UKVI tests for my wife, who is applying to work in the UK as a Health Care assistant, can we register through IDP instead of British council because IDP has a test centre in our present location (Ile-Ife) while the nearest location for British council is Osogbo. I also want to ask if it is compulsory for her to present Care certificates. |

ddooskie:Ensure that whatever English test she's taking has UKVI attached to it, so as to avoid premium tears.🤷🏾♂️ 1 Like |

mobilecontactm: I paid £551 which is the correct fee for HCW for 5 years visa. Now, the case worker is requested additional £533, making it a total of £1,084 ( equivalent to an ordinary SW visa for 5 years) |

Ok I now understand. I just paid mine too and I was asked to pay $700 |

Good morning great minds. My wife just grot her COS from London Abulance service as a paramedic to resume duty Jan 2024. I have a baby who will be 6months by December. What do you advise 1, Everybody goes by all means( Fund is huge) 2, She go alone with the funds available for now and after 1-3 months she send invite for us to join her by then she must have settled down a little. Secondly how's life for a single mum overthere pending when we join her. 1 Like 1 Share |

No, that amount you mentioned is for SWV, not HCWV. £551 is the correct amount for HCWV for 5yrs, which is what he duly paid. |

cbn4main:So, what's your employer saying about the whole situation? Have they tried to explain the error to UKVI? |
Re: UK Skilled Worker Visa / Health And Care Worker Visa / Qualified Teacher Route by cbn4main: 8:55am On Nov 03, 2023 |

The link the case worker sent is for an ordinary skilled worker visa and not a health and care worker visa. The former is £1,084 while the later is £551 all for 5 years. |

Goodly1:My employer said I should relate with the Home office and explain to them. I was just surprised that such a misunderstanding can happen at that level. Again, why didn't the Home office send me an NSF? Rather, they emailed my employer. Anyways, I have written a cover letter explaining in details. Hopefully, they will action it and do the needful. |

IkpemhiTG: Hi There, i would advise you from an experience standpoint ( coming from a person that has stayed abroad for 4 years). If your funds at the moment can support only her, let her go first. There are several benefits to this which includes but not limited to: 1. She can fit into a shared accommodation (has her room or en suite if that is available) and this will be taken cared of from your current budget. 2. She can start work and not be bothered about rushing home for the kids, this allows her focus and get her feet. 3. There is no timeline for dependants to join her (however study the times and revolving laws of the british gov) 4.The icing on the cake, once she settles down, you do not need to show huge proof of funds for each dependant when applying as she is already in the UK. I recently did an application and If am not mistaken, first dependant is around 350 pounds, subsequent dependants around 250 pounds each So kindly refrain from all going at the same time as it will most certainly be a nightmare...Getting house these days is crazy as you dont have rent history and you cant just rent a house based on your pocket size, it has to be according to your family size and gender mix.Having said this, i know someone i warned and he ignored my warning, he was messed up greatly and one thing here is that, everyone has obligations and no one (few people) will be able to help. Once again, congrats on her job, thats a steady job that will lead into ILR easily as its an on demand job.. Don't rush , this requires a project management mentality with respect to planning instead and rejoice.. Cheers 11 Likes 2 Shares |

burgessdon: Firstly, when exactly did you do biometrics? 1). For paragraph 2, you will need to upload your appointment letter which states your job functions. You may also back it up with a letter of introduction from your employer. 2) For paragraph 3, na you go answer that one. What exactly is your SOC code as stated on your COS? 1 Like |

Your application has overstayed o. Was this your first NSF? Quickly, check on your COS if your employer confirmed that you are eligible for a Health and Care worker visa. burgessdon: |

burgessdon:From the COS details, I can't see anything suggesting that you are not eligible for HCW visa. You will need to provide your appointment letter from your UK employer (sponsor) and an introduction letter from them also, stressing the fact that you are eligible for the the visa. Other people in the house can suggest more. |
