Now those who ignorantly claimed it is a leisure Yatch and that it was ordered by the administration of President Bola Tinubu can bury their heads in shame.
It's a naval training/operational vessel that belongs exclusively to the Nigerian Navy, its purchase predates this current administration that took office on May 29.
When Asiwaju Tinubu was the Governor of Lagos state, the state of aquatic splendor for 8 years, he never got a Yatch, it is impossible for him now to require a leisure Yatch now he is President and spends most of his time in the land locked Abuja.
It's just a no brainer that the opposition and LP mob are ignorant and made a complete mess of the opportunity for an intelligent and diligent feedback on the recently passed supplementary budget. Check my signature for free stuffs! BS. A yatch is always a pleasure boat. Naval warships, gunboats and frigates can never be mistaken for a yatch. The navy is just trying to cover someone politician's ass and those who were trying to sneak it into the budget know themselves. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Tinubu came in May and Navy received the yatch in June even when legislative approval had not been obtained. NASS is out for blood because Navy went ahead to receive the yacht (i don't see how they would do this without Tinubu's approval by the way) with the expectation that the rubber stamp NASS will of course do what they've always done i.e the president's bidding. ...Forget the uproar, Tinubu will soon credit them and they'll quietly approve the yatch purchase so Navy can pay the vendor. 1 Like |

What does the navy need a yatch for ? A yatch is a civilian veseel ! No navy on earth uses a yatch . It's only in Nigeria corrupt naval bosses own yatchs..
This yatch belongs to tinubu this is all damage control, so illiterates who don't know better will believe that the navy ordered a yatch ! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Navy uses vessels and naval boats. A yatch is a luxury civilian vessel .. It's yacht bro, not yatch....but i agree with you tho, I honestly don't see the naval need for a yacht. Abi the news houses aren't presenting facts? Maybe na warship them dey call yacht? |

Check my signature for free stuffs! How can the Nigerian Navy not understand the difference between a yacht and other vessels? How can a yacht be used by a navy for training its personnel? Let’s even assume it’s the Navy that wants to acquire this yacht, why use “Presidential Yacht” to describe it in the budget, if it’s for naval training purposes? Why not describe it as “Naval Yacht”, if they are so much in love with the word “Yacht”? Secondly, if you claim it was actually in the budget before, then why bring it up again? Funding, right? Then why didn’t you bring up all the items in the 2023 budget that was yet to be funded? Why single out only one item? The fact that it’s in this supplementary budget means it’s wasn’t in the original budget, that’s the truth. And how do you acquire an asset that’s yet to be budgeted for? Those who claim the luxury vessel has already been acquired, are even embarrassing themselves the more. It’s not enough that the government is insensitive to be going for a luxury item at this time, but it’s even doing it without legislative approval. It’s clear that the Navy was drafted into this as a face saving measure, but it’s even looking the more unpopular and unreasonable, for a navy to be using a luxury vessel for training its personnel. Every indication points to the Presidency acquiring this for the pleasure of the president, but when caught in the web of insensitivity, they are changing the narrative, but the whole thing is falling flat. Own up, and apologize |
