This is where favouritism comes in. Would u be saying this if it were players u like? How many poor games have Ashleigh Plumptre and Michelle Alozie had? But when they do good that doesn't stop us from praising them. As fans we can't be picking and choosing who to like. That will only kill the team in the long run.

Fans by nature show favouritism, so not sure what you mean. Of course you are expected to prop us the team in general but most fans have favourites and that's okay. This however doesn't mean absence of objectivity in critiquing players despite one's bias and to be fair every player who has had a bad game has faced criticism here (including the players you mentioned). The most important thing is that we be fair in our criticism, on praise though bias largely determines how loud one is.

Rofiat Imuran subbed in the game for Stade De Reims. No Tosin Demehin but Flourish Sabastine is on the bench. I think she is warming up cos I don't see her there right now

So glad Imuran is okay. The way she was stretchered off gave the impression she will be out for some time. Glad she's fine

I am not an English teacher but i think there is a difference between having favourites and showing favouritism. I can have a favourite child but that doesn't mean I only pay their school fees and leave the rest to fend for themselves.

The #USWNT are set to hire Emma Hayes as their new manager

Hayes will continue with Chelsea until the end of the WSL season. She may join the USWNT during international breaks before taking over fully.

Lol. Going by your logic, how exactly do you differentiate your favourite child from the rest? If your "favourite child" gets same treatment as everyone else how then is the child considered favourite? To clarify, I do not think parents should have favourite children so the comparison is a little problematic. But for the purpose of this argument I'll tow the line.

Having favourite player doesn't mean a disregard of basic decency when others are concerned. For parents, certain responsibilities like child welfare (paying school fees) are bear minimum expectations for ALL their children. You'll notice I said there's an expectation for fans of a particular team to prop up the entire squad (that's bear minimum). But when it comes to having favourites, it is going the extra mile in buying a particular player's jersey, expressing bias when that player is concerned, supporting everything they promote etc. Many even support a team because of One player. It was what makes then fans and they are allowed that luxury. It doesn't necessarily translate into an absence of objectivity when critiquing.

Nigeria still have South Africa & Cameroun to contend with

Zambia, Morocco & Ghana will slug it out for the other ticket

Surprised Cameroun got the job done against Uganda

South Africa’s encounter with Tanzania will be much easier than our game against Cameroun

The girls have real tough competition ahead
Ridiculous NFF hasn’t officially appointed a coach on a permanent basis

People will be angry if South Africa ousts us o
Our records against them have been bad lately
make we beat Cameroon first before talking of southie

Go and argue with the dictionary, Favourite and Favouritism have 2 different meanings.

I didn't argue semantics, I went by your logic. Fo something to be favourite, it means you're doing something extra or it enjoys something extra others doesn't. It is preferred above others. It's why I didn't think the parent/children illustration was ideal but still stuck to that line if thought.

Oya post the meaning of Favourite. Lol

Even though I didn't argue this point with you (cause I felt it was unnecessary, and rephrased my argument to fit your "favourite narrative" one thing is constant when both word is used; preference.

Oga of course u will enjoy something extra as a favourite but when that something extra is unfair it becomes favouritism.

Favourite child follows daddy everywhere and that's totally fine but when the favourite child gets to go to school while the others are in the farm that's totally wrong and it becomes favouritism.

Gift Monday scores a brace as UDG Terenife with the trio of Monday, Okoronkwo and Babajide triumph (score 2-1) over Ajibade's Athletico Madrid.

Ajibade who come off the bench provided the assist for Athletico Madrid's only goal.

I think the following Players Should be Added to the U20 team for the World Cup Proper as they will definitely add a lot to the team from the experience they have gained in Europe/America.

1.) Oyinlola Olamide (17yrs) — Laliga Academy,🇪🇸
2.) Miracle Usani (16yrs) — LaLiga Academy, 🇪🇸
3.) Rofiat Imuran (19yrs) — Stade de Reims, 🇫🇷
4.) Flourish Sabastine (19yrs) — Stade de Reims,🇫🇷

And when did my post say the Home Based Players should be excluded from the team or are the above listed players not Nigerian and U20s??

This U20 shouldn’t only be about Development but a Win is also a Big plus and very Important…

The point I making is she was picked from home based and joined the falcons, why can't we get U20 from home based why rely always on foreign based.
