Hello, what's your experience so far with the CRV? I am about to get a 2009 CRV.

I am having an issue with my charging system. My battery does go beyond 12.70 when car is on, thus I think the alternator is not charging the battery but when I put on Acc and head light , it begins to charge . The multimeter reads 13-14 but when I off the loads, it reduces to 12.6. Sometimes the car just don’t start again. What can be the issue pls. Rewire tested alternator to be okay and battery isn’t up to 1 year. Thanks
Look like more of wiring issues confirm the wire from the alternator to the battery, sometimes with high resistance or short to ground they can display such fault.

Thought as much.
Kindly do a research on how your alternator is supposed to work before they condemn it and sell a conventional one to you.
We've had similar experience with same model at the shop sometimes ago where we thought the alternator was bad initially until we found out it was designed to not give out constant 14v when there's no demand for it.
Newer cars do a whole lot of unconventional things to give you better gas mileage and meet up with constant changing regulations.

Lol. You can't compare fuel economy of cuvs with that of cars like civic/corolla.

That said, the fuel economy is not bad. Just ensure your parts like a/f Sensors or knock sensors are working fine. Service with recommended engine oil. Scan car for other errors

All these help to improve fuel economy

Good day all.

Pls you have an ideal what goes wrong with my car that making it trip off suddenly on motion with check engine light and D (drive) light off and suddenly on on the dashboard. But fuel light stays on.

The car will just off when moving and sometimes it will off and immediately on back and making it jack small.

Like today, when it turns off, i start it and try raise it but didn't pass 2.

And when i force it move, on motion when it wants to enter gear 2, it keeps jacking and sometimes it will enter gear 2 and move

It will not show it sign until I drive for some hours like 2 to 3 hours and when the car hot, before the problem start.

Am using honda civic 2001

You have to get a very good car to avoid visiting the mechanic always.

Also, if your roads are not bad you are good to go

For accords
It's best to get the last models in the generation, as that's when they perfect the issues with the earlier models in the generation.
Like for the 7th gen,
The face lifted 2006 and 2007 models (DC) have less issues compared to the 2003-2005 models (EOD)
As with the 8th gen,
The face lifted 2011 and 2012 models have less issues compared to the 2008-2010 models
I'll pick the 07 accord over the 08, if I were looking for the "most reliable"
But overall the 2008/2009 accord is still a reliable car and easy to maintain.
If you can't get new OEM balljoints you can go for tokunbo ones.
Just avoid the cheap Chinese ones when it comes to ball joints.
Maintenance is okay, it's a honda.
Some Parts are a bit pricey sha sha, but nothing too expensive.

Scan your car, but I am guessing your camshaft sensor is bad.

Most likely your camshaft sensor. It's beside the engine. When you turn your passenger side tyre inward.

Check for loose wiring..

Most importantly scan your car to be sure.

Hello house

Need your advice. I drive a Honda Pilot 2006 and the rear tires are bent inward like the suspension is bad but I recently changed the suspension. Someone says it's the chassis which I'm uncertain of.

What could be the cause of the this and solution? I dislike how low the rear part of the SUV is.

well done boss I think I am having the same issue with my 07 civic though mine moves back after on and offing it .....and I noticed it has stopped since I change my ac air filter. I don't know the correlation but I know my car don't really deliver enough power again

Hello house

My 2010 honda crv temperature gauge rises to almost high whenever I'm on the express.

But whenever I'm within the streets or inner roads, it doesn't go past the middle.

The fans are connected directly and it runs with water (plan to revert to factory setting as soon as I figure out what the problem is)

So the temperature shouldn't go beyond the halfway mark at all but it does and happens when I'm only on the express

Some are saying water pump, others are saying radiator.

Don't want to do trial and error

Please what could be the problem?

Is the thermostat still in the engine?
Is the radiator water dripping in level?

Radiator water doesn't reduce

Please house, I have only one question.
How can one get genuine Honda ATF DW-1 outside Lagos state. I see them on jumia and konga but the price suggests they are hardly genuine. Even the ones listed very expensive, there's no way to guarantee you are getting the genuine oil. Please all the people outside Lagos, how do you go about this?
