Someone that is trying to help people search for schools for free, you are here calling him out. Or you don’t know there are agents that charge an arm and a leg just to help people who don’t know where to start search for schools. I don’t believe bullstriker mentioned that admission is free. His service is free is not thesame as saying admission is free. Him and a few other people have been tremendous help to people on this thread…. Hello all,

Please I need to find out if a Cooperative mortgage bank is accepted to use as a bank to show as proof of funds for SELF SPONSORED Canada visa application.

Your feedback will greatly help me make the right decision.

1. Apply to schools and programs that are eligible to give PGWP
2. The processing time depends on the school
3. The estimated tuition fee is 10,000 CAD - 20,000 CAD this depends on the school and course
Phemmyadot:
Good day NL, I want to start the processing for admissions but I'm confused on where to start.

Which schools are good?
What is the processing period?
What is the average cost?
Any other useful information will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Congratulations 🎉
MRtristan:
ALHAMDULLILAH!!! ALHAMDULLILAH!!! ALHAMDULLILAH!!! I got my PPR.

This journey definitely did not start today, it began way back in 2017 and I'm grateful it ended with a good note. As you can see from the image i attached below, it started way back in 2017, but i knew there was no way in hell i could raise the money for Canada at that time.

So I had to make up my mind and develop my tech skill for Two hard years while working at a very terrible company, mehn those were trying times. Just like they say "Tough times never last, but tough people do", God came through for me and I got a contract job with a foreign company and the pay was really good, so good I kinda forgot about my initial japa plans and as the Almighty would have it, My contract with the foreign company came to an end.

Sadness engulfed me but I had to pick myself up and started applying until I got a local company, but to be honest, after assessing my salary and our economy, I knew I had to go back to my original plan which was now possible thanks to my frugal lifestyle LOL, I didn't even own a car except for land properties sha.

But this my Application was filled with tension, I Mistakenly did not upload my Two passport photograph, Application for study permit made outside of Canada and Family Information, If not for my brother that was just assuring me that it will end in success LOL, I almost gave up and thought of cancelling my application, but at the end, it did end with success and also shout out to @bullstriker who also assured that it was not really a big deal. Big thanks to @zubizareta and others, without your guidances a lot of us would really be lost, may the Almighty bless you guys, Amin.

One thing I find nauseating about this PGWD thing is the fact that, agents never tell applicants about it or probably they don't know?🤷 Most of us that apply through agents end of getting admitted in schools that are PGWD ineligible except of course, the agents are informed and instructed to during the admission process.

My question now is; does one applying for a 4years undergraduate program also eligible for PGWD? owing to the fact that the 4yeears undergraduate course can not be linken to a Postgraduate 2 year program as the case may be.

Yes, they do.
Conestoga and Holland college deposits are 1500 and 1000, respectively.
Although Niagra College requires a one-semester tuition fee, it is not due until 3-4 months after receiving an acceptance letter.
VIJUchoco1234:

Bullstriker, thank you for all you do here
Pls do know if CIMT takes application fee before the admission?
Also which school do you has a very low if possible the cheapest initial deposit

Thanks a lot, @ mfonox, for your compliment. People like him who cannot do their due diligence about someone before commenting are not worth responding to. He wants people to get help here, yet he is disrespecting the same people who provide solutions. I have helped many people get admission here and never charged them a fee for assisting them with school admission.

It depends on the type of sponsorship and ability to demonstrate reliable sources of income. For example, you must show funds for the tuition fees and living expenses for the duration (2 yrs) of your program if you have no sponsor, OR show funds for one year and a reliable source that can generate funds in your absence for the subsequent year. On the other hand, if you are using a sponsor, you can show just the cost of education for one year, regardless of the duration of your studies. It is noteworthy that showing just the minimum is not recommended as it is unconvincing for the sponsor to spend all the funds on your education.

I believe it's best to calculate the cost of a flight to Canada and local transportation in your intended city and be realistic. Although IRCC uses 10K for living expenses, I recommend adding a couple of thousand to the living expenses, especially if you are going to cities with high living costs like Toronto, Vancouver, etc. That way, you can present your research in your SoP.

To answer your question,
Funds for 1 year = Tuition fee/year + living expense (10K)/yr + cost of flight and transportation in Canada

Most agents know about it; they choose schools that are not eligible for PGWP because it is easy to get admission, and most times the admission drops within days. They also do it with the assurance that the applicant will change institution when they arrive in Canada.
Avoid such agents
The same thing is applicable for people who study undergraduate programs (PGWP)

Reality will dawn on him after graduation unless he has money to enrol in another program.

What about those on one year program. Since we’re getting just one year PGWP, is that not risky as well in getting PR
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 6:33pm On Nov 10, 2023
Yes, it's somewhat risky, but you can do an additional 1-year program to get 3 years of PGWP. Some graduates rely on lengthy PGWP processing time (you can work while the application is in process) to get additional months, so they are eligible for Canadian Class Experience and have an extra month to get an Invitation to Apply for Express Entry.
You can also apply for provincial nomination, as most provinces have programs tailored for workers and international students in their province.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by bullstriker: 6:53pm On Nov 10, 2023
Let's assume the following:

You are a single applicant
1 yr tuition fee, including ancillary fees, is, 18,000
Living expense as per IRCC is 10,000 (I recommend using 12,000)
The cost of a flight to Canada is 2000
The cost of your transportation in Canada is 1500 (depending on the city and the school’s proximity to your residence.)
Minimum PoF =18000 +10,000 + (2000+ 1500)
=21,500
This minimum pof (21,000) cannot be the same for everyone.
Abigbo:
