They should not have being shot in the first place, the man who shot them wasn't the only person in Panama, every other persons respected the rights of the protesters. Blocking the road is a way to make their voice heard, if they were protesting without blocking the roads no one would notice their reasons of protesting. They are protesting against extracting (Minning) resources from the ground (earth) extracting resources would harm the planet, Example, earthquakes, air pollutions and environement damages.
