I want to bring my kids. 2 kids. Do I need to show POF for myself including my kids. Or I just need to show POF for their upkeep.

Thanks

Yes you need to show POF for any dependants coming with you to UK.

If ypu later considered university of salford better look for their approved agent in lagos or Abuja to assist u better for their CAS and the rest cos applying alone makes CaS issuance another thing.

Hi guys. New on this thread, so apologies if this has been asked previously. I'm looking for schools in the UK with friendly tuition payment plans, especially if they have budget-friendly fees. Any suggestions will be appreciated. For instance, University of Salford apparently allows up to 7 consecutive monthly payments.

Hello guys. Please i have a few questions

1) Is it possible for dependant in tier 4 visa to switch to tier 2 if main applicant hasnt finished his/her msc?

2) What can be used as English proficiency if dependant wants to apply for COS?

3) If main applicant worked more than 20 hours during study, can he/she apply for dependant visa if his spouse got COS, since he/she may not get psw visa?

Thank you

1. Yes your dependant partner can switch his or her visa seamlessly if she gets sponsorship from a licensed employer in the united kingdom.

2. Your partner can use NARIC evaluation , PTE , IELTS and many more to prove her English proficiency

3. Try to do the right thing as a student cos a lot depends on you living right. I know it's hard but stick to the term time work hour limits for the sake of the future of all of you including your dependants.
To the last question , you can become your partners dependant if they get tier 2 or other classes of work visas but that will be at the completion of your studies.

Good morning

Hi. Does this 20 hour limit apply to freelancers? Like, if I have a foreign online job that lets me work freelance hours (40 hr a week), is there any way they'd find out?

Hi everyone, in a case where the dependant has her own proof of funds, is a consent letter from the MA to use pof still necessary?

Secondly, at the point of applying for child dependant, would the child apply as going with wife dependant or joining the MA? The reason I'm asking this is because the pof for both wife and child is with wife and not the MA.

It can take from 24hrs to 6weeks

Freelancing is still a job so yes it adds to it

I don’t know the nitty gritty within HMRC but there are certainly ways to find out

A quick one, will someone that is fully sponsored with tuition fee waiver and monthly stipend be asked to pay the normal initial deposit before processing CAS?

Also, will a PhD student have to pay £470*5 = £2,350 for IHS assume the study duration is 5 years?

Just a curious mind

To God be the glory o!!! The so called school assigned agent (StudyNow) frustrated me, threatened to cancel my cas and unconditional offer because I expressed my intention to handle the visa application process on my own. they withheld my CAS.
This situation led to a prolonged a 2 weeks back-and-forth delay, where they continued to insist that I must use their services, they reported the international development manager (a Nigerian also) and he said I must use their services by force by fire or I should collect my deposit back and go to another school. I contacted the school to confirm if it was mandatory for students to use their agents for their visa application after cas was issued. The university's response was clear – it was an optional choice, and no agent had the right to intimidate or threaten students.
I told the international development manager what the admission team said he said his decision is final. To my utter disbelief, he proceeded to cancel my CAS and offer letter, because I still did not agree and sent me a refund form to fill acting like God. I was dumbfounded and in shock because e never reach make person Dey do like God ontop say I no gree use agent oo.
It was then that I decided to escalate the matter and reached out to the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Registrar – anyone I could think of – to report this incident. The Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor took swift action, prompting an unexpected call from the International Development Manager, who expressed surprise that I had reported the matter to such senior figures. In my mind I was like when you’re playing God nko you no know.
In the end, the Vice Chancellor and Pro Vice Chancellor intervened, leading to the reissuing of my CAS and offer letter, which enabled me to proceed with my visa application. This experience taught me a valuable lesson – never allow anyone to intimidate or coerce you into making decisions that compromise your principles. The International Development Manager believed that canceling my CAS and offer letter would be the end for me because this is the last session to come to the UK with your dependant unless it’s a research based course, but I showed him that not every Nigerian is willing to bend/break just to kiss your ass and compromise their integrity to leave the country.
