Dear Gurus,
Respectfully, if i may ask.
When is the best time to re apply for an almost expired UK visa.
After expiration or before expiration.
Your genuine responses would be appreciated.
Any one works.

No sir. It’s same day they send collection mail and then hand it to DHL.

What if they send email on Friday and DHL is sending it to my village while I'm on my way to Abuja to prepare for my flight?

Hello Guys, please I have a 10yrs visit Visa but I'm being told by my visa agent that I still need to apply again to travel to the uk even with my 10 years visa
...

This has to do with the ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization). This was introduced last year for countries who do not need a visa to enter the AUK.

For now this for nationals of Bahrain, Jordan, Oman Saudi Arabia, UAE.

Don't let this be of concern to you l.

Hello everyone,

I submitted my UK visit visa application on October 16 and completed the biometric process on October 19. Today, I received a message from TLS contact stating that my passport is ready and has been dispatched to the address I provided for the return courier.

I haven't received any other emails apart from the one from TLS contact. Is there any way to find out the decision of my visa application before the passport arrives?

Thank you.

Hi Guys,
I & my family applied for a 6 months visitor visa for my aunty. Applied 26th October, Documents Submitted & Biometrics done on 1st Nov. Now we received an email today 9th Nov that DHL has picked up the passport and it will be delivered tomorrow. It seems so fast & it was not priority service. We didn’t get a refusal email. Do you think it was granted? This is her first uk visa application. Thank you.

You have been advised on what to do via the france section. Please follow through the guidance given and do the needful. Our views and suggestions are limited as we can only give you technical guide, it is in your hands to follow up.
damkanlinsin:
Hello everyone please I was refused visit visa

With this reason.

There are reasonable doubts as to your intention to leave the territory of the Member states before the visa

You may appeal against the decision to refuse a visa to the Deputy Director of Visas, BP 83609, 44036 Nantes cedex 1, within thirty days from the date of the present notification. Filing an appeal before the Deputy Director of Visas is a mandatory pre-condition to appeal against the decision.

Please is appealing advisable or I should just reapply
Like i said earlier,if you were refused a visa, it is not a do or die affair neither is it a final note.

Prepare for what is next and hope for the best.
Wishing you success ahead.

If no refusal email in inbox or junk then 99% chance it was granted. The 1% is for those who get refused and do not get their refusal emails in time and/or those who get refused and do not receive any emails + get an empty passport back.

Hi folks,
My application was refused because the the officer didn't read their own information...I had filled in monthly salary at 350knaira monthly and they mistook this for 350k annually.

My bank statement was also purposely kept clear of noise as I ensured it was only showing the 350k paid monthly by my employer and the 100k I take out monthly for my bills( I make sure I take out the 100k in one go as well, to avoid clutter).

No other ins or out in the salary account apart from salary in monthly and 100k out monthly, I left the residual valance every month in thr same account...so how they can then say the funds are unexplained is beyond me, as it states the company name that pays the money (same company I have identified as my employer on my application o)

They clearly had no issue with mu sponsor as my sister had written ans shown prove she'll pay my flight, accommodation and feeding...I have shown home ties with my kids, husband and work so these aspects are not an issue .

I am planning to reapply, as I believe this person reviewed in haste and didn't verify the information before them, my question is in my introduction letter do I address this as the first thing or write other aspect of the introduction before getting to this?
Ps: I did write a detailed introduction in my application, showed itinerary etc.

If you believe there's an error in the decision, send a Pre-Action Protocol, giving them a seven-day timeline to respond in the first instance.

Also I forgot to ask re the 2nd point about 100k expenditure, how do I prove this to the visa Officer? Given this is my contribution to household bills and most are paid in cash hence why I take this value out monthly from the salary account?

Please help?

Apparently this option can drag on for a long time and outcome is not guaranteed to be positive especially for visit visa applicants, this is from a lawyer I spoke to this morning.
He advised to take my chance with reapplying and stress the error they made on my original application

Good day my brothers and sisters,

Please I hold a spousal visa tier 2, visa will be activated by 25th of this month. My challenge is that I've been applying for jobs for over a month now and have been getting rejection mails. I want to know if there's something I'm not doing well. I hold a master's degree in public Health Education and bachelor's degree in health education. I'm open to corrections and recommendations. Thanks in advance.

Nb: thanks for all you do here. It's been helpful.

Sorry about the refusal.

Next time, convert all figures in Naira to Pounds. It helps. The Naira figures sometimes confuses them. I say this from experience.

Secondly, salary of N350,000 a month is low - sponsor or no sponsor. Especially with the FX rate that has gone up significantly.

Perharps others can help.

Congrats. It is Tier 2 dependent visa, not spousal visa. Spouse visa is for partners of British citizens and settled persons.
You are not in country yet, Your chances will increase then, also you would have your BRP and can apply for your NI when you enter. Post further questions on the living in uk thread for assistance.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Ipanema: 2:59pm On Nov 10, 2023
Thanks for your input, i appreciate it and I'll bear it in mind.

I did think since my flight, feeding and accommodation had been demonstrated as been taken care of and the ECO alluded to that (re sponsor) that my income wouldn't matter.

All learning curve I guess.

I suppose I should probably have made clear 100k is contribution to household grocery paid in cash monthly.

Good evening house.

After sending several paid mail to home office I was sent the case worker email and on 19th I received a not straight forward mail but not requesting for additional documents.

My question is should I assume that the case worker just started working on my application on 19th October since September 13 that I did biometric.

Yes, I got it last week Friday, 3/11/2023. The case worker told us that the immigration skill charge was not paid by the employer which they are to pay. We just find a way round it ourselves to get it by and after 3days of making payment I got a TLS message to pick it.

I did more for paid mails through the immigration lawyer I use.
