Do you mean visiting visa is different from conference visa because am going for a program there an I don't want it to pass that period because when I check visitor Visa na 760 days before interview plss which kind of Visa and how will d church write the letter plss advice me

If you are going for like say short Bible program of 3 weeks or Bible training or seminar or camp or conference of 2 weeks they all fall under B1/B2 Visiting visa. So you will be applying for Visiting visa .

You do not have a choice pastor , you have to apply first and then be looking for emergency appointment so that they can allow you to attend your visa interview before the start of your program in the US.

Host as sponsor is a red flag. You basically cannot go on a holiday you can't afford. So to them she is financially weak. She shouldn't apply again until her circumstances have changed. Also living in lagos and getting interviewed in Abuja is somehow sha.
You have a point, tho Abj is not as rowdy as Lag. She didn't go with her statement of account just payslip/ IV, VO didn't ask her for any doc.

If it's not time nothing anybody can do. She will re apply.

Thnx.

Hello all, good morning, please can attending a church I watch or should I say attend online be a good reason as purpose of travelling to the United state for Live encounter, that's without invite from the church, just going on my own and also to tour the city, spending just 11days .from u.k to u.s.a ?..

Yes of course . If you can get an official invitation letter from the church it would be better . You also have to proof your financial ability beyond reasonable doubt as well as your strong ties to Nigeria . Yes you can get the visa . You doesn't necessarily have to go and study or attend a conference. We have many well to do Nigerians who can travel at a will .

Maybe using her host as a sponsor was the problem.

Tell her to pull herself together please.

That they refused you does not mean one is not qualified....
Abi nah, when they deny me 2014 till now I didn't apply again.

You want to try the way the VO was shouting at one lady,
VO: how did your sister get to US?
VO: are you married?
Fear couldn't allow the Lady, after about 3 question, without even allowed her to answer, blue paper straight very aggressive tiny VO.

How your bro/sis/your fam get to US really matters. They have the record. If they move there legally infact you are halfway home.

The lady in question should have being calm and reply that I honestly do not know how my sister git to the US.

On *5th* attempt!!!! Determination.
I was going for a graduation in 2014.
What they wrote in the blue paper was I have strong tie overseas that I will not be abandoned but I didn't demonstrate that after my travel, I have what will compel me to come back to my home country. The VO didn't check my documents, just few questn.

How she jump to that conclusion I don't know.

Then I don't know there's a thread on NL that can make it easier like this, at least I know better now.

VOs start all interview with the opinion you are planning to elope. You have the responsibility to dispel that opinion or make them think you are a genuine visitor. They are trained or expected by US Laws to adopt that opinion.

Hey !
If it's only you the 5.M is too much , but if it's like family of 10 people then the 5.M can be justified . On a serious note , 3.M can be justified for a family of 4 ...father mother , young daughter and young son. But if it's only you it's too much . Although , he may want to pay for conference, pay for hotel reservation (which is not necessary) , bla bla bla .

If you are not chance at all to do it yourself and you must use a reliable and trustworthy agent for ONLY YOU then 1.5M is okay. But remember ..no US visa is 100% guarantee. It's all prayers and determination if the agent knows what he is doing .

N50,000 is too much for any number of applicants. Whether one person or twenty people.

The entire process can be done by any applicant on their own without paying for anything except visa fees to the embassy.
The same process used by agents in securing date is available to anyone who tries.
If people aren’t willing to try to search for dates, you logging in 3 times daily per profile can never be worth N750k x 4.
And without guarantee, whether agent or self service.

That's why I don't believe that there is a hard and fast rule that applies to all.

Just pray you get a good CO that will grant the visa to you

Good evening my people. Long time. There was something I observed recently at the dhl drop off centres in lagos. My father and mother in-laws had their interview in Abuja and it was successful. So, father In-law preferred documents to be sent to Muri Okunola's dhl office in Lagos. When the passport was tracked, it showed muri okunola @ VI but on getting there, I was referred to Isolo for pick up, where I paid 4,500. Whereas in April when I went to pick up my passport at same isolo dhl office afrer my IW application was teated, I didn't pay a dime. Could it be a recent development?

I also observed that, the muri okunola, which used to be seething with crowd was so scanty the morning I visited. I met just 2 people on seat @ VI. It was same experience when I got to Isolo office. Don't people travel to US anymore or what? It was so strange to me cos I had used both centres in the past and it was always crowded each time.

Good morning to you all

I want to apply for USA visiting visa, what is the procedure

The money agent is asking is too much. 5 million naira the work it out for me

Please I need your help
Did the agent lace his tongue with juju to hypnotise people who are desperately in need of date grin ? You can DIY. If you picked a far-reaching date and you feel you have compelling reasons to request an expedited appointment, don't bother to mail them cos you definitely won't
get the kind of help you need. Moreover, they're always overwhelmed with mails so, they may send you a FAQs link or send a generic response. Nothing could be more annoying. Instead, you call them on 012278955. Try and speak with an agent. You'd get connected immediately as the line isn't always busy. Follow the voice prompt and try to speak with an agent. The below is how to go about this.

1- Dial 012278955
2- Enter 4, on your dialling pad after the voice prompt
3- Enter 2, after the voice prompt
4- Enter 0, after the voice prompt
5- Enter 5, after the voice prompt and you'd be directed to an agent immediately.

If you don't follow the above, you'd get lost cos there are loads of information which would be thrown at you by the answering machine. Apart from being confused, you'd end up wasting your time and burning all your airtime. See the attached picture for a hint.

The agent would ask you some security questions to be sure you're the right applicant. Tell her why your interview should be brought to an earlier date. This has worked for like 2 people I introduced this to. She'd put you on hold while she checks the preferred date, if available, or she suggests a close one. Please note that, you must have booked an appointment , even if its year 2030 before calling. This information I'm sharing is worth even more than the 5m naira which the hungry and callous agent is asking you to pay. This thread was set up by the OP, to assist people for free but some people do take advantage of it to make money from unsuspecting applicants.

I've never paid a dime to receive a visa and I've been travelling to the states for almost 20 years now, even took people to US without collecting a dime. I'm not an agent so,no DMs please. I'm only saying this so people who are billing their fellow Nigerians who need help should have a change of orientation. In those days, I'd visit Indian threads to read about various visa categories and see how they're assisting one another free of charge, as if they're related. We should emulate them. No be everything be money. Meanwhile, members on that thread are' thousands of km apart yet, they help as if they're closely related, FOC.

Thank you so much sir

I didn't even apply, because I was told the chance of getting the visa is 50/50 and I don't want to waste my hard earn money because the #166,000 it would take me 5 months to get earn it back

I have family over there who are citizens.. my dad young brother, my two blood sisters

I don't want to waste money, I know how many months it took me to gather the money

Not hard.

I applied for a visiting visa alongside my family in December 2022. Got appointment date for January 6, 2023. VISA APPROVED with no document requested. Grace followed me sha. I’m on a student visa in the Uk. Though I’ve finished studying but my BRP is still valid. For another 2months.

Go to the US site. Apply and include a genuine purpose for travelling. Get a date for appointment and get in touch. I might help

Did you fill-in a proxy form with your representative's details on it? All that's required is the copy of the proxy form which is usually being given after a successful interview. The proxy (rep) would need to make photocopy of his/her valid government-approved ID and take it along. On arrival at the chosen dhl location, your rep would acknowledge the collection on the proxy form and sign, after which passpoet will be handed over to him/her

It will say record not found if you try scheduling a pick up via your phone because your date of birth, which must be filled-in would be hidden, due to the size of your phone screen. Activate the auto rotate function, which is usually on the top of your phone(see attached/encircled for details), turn the phone to the palm mode, (by turning it either left or right) to reveal the full page and you'd be able to see your date of birth column clearly. Alternatively, you can schedule on your computer.

You can also pick up anytime. Just go to your preferred dhl office anytime you wish to pick up, schedule while you're in their premises. Usually, you would not be able to schedule for pick up same day you're going. Don't bother yourself, schedule
for any later date while you're still there. They'd still attend to you. What's important is for your information to be available on their system.

It was an Interview waiver (so no physical interview) and I also sent a relative to help me submit at the same Dhl office, since I am not in Lagos right now.

Don’t give up .My brother went 6 times lol .
On the last one the same VO looked at him and said you don’t take No for an answer.
my brother said i don’t believe in giving up and the next thing she said to him was ( okayyyyy ) kept looking at the computer and that was the end. he got his visa .
All I’ll say is if you have family in USA don’t lie be very forthcoming.
They know everything already. . That was the mistake my brother made . If he did not correct his Ds160 and be honest about his answer, he probably would’ve been denied again .
For people looking for appointment dates or paying someone for appointment you need to stop .
If you have a contact in the US have the person check it for you I checked and booked for brother . Don’t pay anyone for appointments booking
Stop paying people to fill a form .
All you need to do is create time and do it yourself.
All the best .

Hello all,
If my US visitor is to expire, can I reapply like 4 months before expiry date? or Must I wait for 3 months.
If my US visitor visa is to expire on June 30 and I enter the USA June 1, will I have to leave the US latest by June 30 ? or can i stay until the date the entry officer stamps as validity of stay of my passport a the point of entry?

Hello all,

Please, I need your help.
I was recently refused an F2 Visa in Abuja Embassy.
During the course of the interview, the VO asked how long I have been married, and it's just 2 months before the interview, and the VO laid emphasis on it "just two months?", and the next thing was a blue paper.
Recently I got a new job with better pay, which will be barely 2 months if I plan to go for another interview in December, should I use this new job as a change in my circumstance?
Please, your suggestions are welcomed.

Secondly, I am in need of any F2 WhatsApp group link for mock session interview. Someone should please help me with one.

Thank you all.

Hey !

Your question is kinda confusing but let me try .
If your interview is scheduled for Abuja but your DHL pick up is in Lagos ..do you need a new appointment letter ?

Well generally if you change an information (DS 160, Passport no, DHL pick center etc ) inside your CGI portal then you need to print another appointment letter because your CGI page will auto update your appointment letter so the one in your hand already is useless .

Now. 1. Login to your CGI (if you have access to it and if agent is assisting you tell him to ). 2. From your CGI page click on appointment confirmation. 3. Click email appointment. 4. Go to that your email and print a new appointment letter . Automatically your new DHL pick up will reflect in the new appointment letter .

But if you mean ordinary mailing address inside your CGI then leave it like that don't print another appointment confirmation. YOU ONLY NEED TO PRINT NEW APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION IF YOU HAVE CHANGED YOUR DHL PICK INSIDE YOUR CGI AND YOU WANT IT TO REFLECT INSIDE YOUR APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION. Hope i answer your question ?
