E don start oooo. Bello and his attempts to cause havoc in kogi east.

Kudos to NA.

God pass am.

I honestly don’t think Nigeria is ripe for the western kind of democracy and I suggest we give up right now !

Imagine an election that is supposed to be people going to vote for whoever they believe will make their lives better based on the campaign of all candidates …… some thug armed with gun wants to thwart the eventual result of the polls, the military steps in and get the non-state actors killed .

An election with so much bloodshed on all sides , a winner eventually emerges by crook or through the books ; yet u expect the state to move forward because everybody needs to move on and work for the good of the state . Those people who lost loved ones will never wish the state well.

This democracy is overrated

Wowwww. What a generation of hard men. grin grin

It must mean all those discussions about rising male loneliness and men's mental health are all crap niyen o?

But when una wan agend, una go remember say nobody dey care about men's mental health. But and other day, it is okay to trash-talk (men's) emotional and psychological struggles.

The suicide rate amongst men in the world is a farce. 👍

Schizophrenia, PTSD, feelings of inadequacies, low self-esteem, social anxiety and phobias (around failure, or other physical activities, etc) that young boys to war veterans experience is all fabu. They just need to snap out of it and be men. The world is hard. 👍

I hope to God nobody will come gaslighting me with whataboutism about men's mental health any day I broach the topic as it relates to women.

Because if depression and suicidal feelings and all other mental issues are being trivialised the way I am seeing here, in the discourse above, there is no reason why we cannot take it a notch further to say men deserve no special acknowledgement for any unique internal struggles they go through.

Mental health talk isn't shit, ergo, men's mental health problems are bullshit. No man should ever whine about the world neglecting him or whatever.

I think I got that right*. 📝

A coursemate then opened up to the class that he was having suicidal thoughts because some people in the department usually laugh at him when he gave a wrong answer to a lecturer's question.

Like laugh wan make you kill yourself I simply told him that what he is saying won't make me not to explode in laughter if you talk rubbish for class.

The world is in trouble grin grin

Real trouble.

Young boys with some education and a family that provides will just start defrauding people in the name of "Poverty".

You start to wonder if his own poverty is worse than the young Hausa boy that treks Kms everyday, fixing shoes.

Or the young girl that carries a basin of pure water, running under the sun.

This is normal in Nigeria election

cheesy

This is what we are talking about .

Somebody just wakes one morning , vents his anger and frustration at another person who is remembering her dad(who is actually a real life hero ), makes unsubstantiated allegations against the memory of the dead and then has everybody in the comment section falling over themselves taking his side because they don’t even know Ken Saro-Wiwa was till his last breath a hero who fought and won against government and International Oil Companies exploiting and killing his people for oil which everybody benefits from today .

My God. We are really in trouble. This is literally how we had some other jokers celebrating abacha the other day. Next we will hear that Ken saro wiwa was a disgruntled hater of abachas policies.

That post puts everything soyinka said in stark perspective.

It actually isn't fun. People are knocking people who actually shed blood or paid the ultimate price and are listening to online activists whose ultimate goal is to monetize their internet clout.

Muri is the same with them bro.

I wish you could stay neutral. Supporting that thug ain't worth it. Both Dino and Muri have been part of what we are facing in kogi state. They've held positions at the national level with abysmal performance.

At least, we can make excuse for Ododo and hoping SIM/Wike happens to them.

But anyway, it's your choice.
Muri held what position at the National level? Abysmal performance? 😂

Naaa

I am Referring to Kalu and Nefertiti on twitter.

They started one silly thread where they claimed abacha did well for the economy.

Already every other day one sees some youths saying things like it would be great if we had GSM companies run by the government. You have to wonder where they are getting that misplaced nostalgia from.

My mum's tenant don owe pass two years and e no gree comot. Maybe the pastor should come and see how people fight and struggle through their challenges.

That is the nature vs nurture argument. People become what they are due to both. It is however far easier to be an introvert if you grow up in a sheltered environment. Growing up poor or having to hustle from childhood - you will learn to mix with people because your environment forced you to do so.
