I closed both the long and short trades... at least the long has mitigated the losses on the shorts by 70%

I placed sell stop at 1941 but i'll be waiting for strong consolidation over severa hrs ard 1964 -1974 zone to consider buying.

Na fear jare. After taking out my first buy stoploss, and manually exiting from the second buy in counter move, I would have taken a third buy if it wasn't CPI news but did not want to risk any further counter-move but it was clear buyers were doing press-up.

For now, direction is bullish for usd quote pairs. The dust from the CPI data must settle first before I decide what direction to play.

Maybe you're framed to be an analyst, not a trader. Just maybe.

It's not village people....you just haven't backtested the system enough to have the confidence to trade it

Or perhaps you don't quite understand the chances of your setup being successful.

The second issue is you have too many confluence factors you are looking at before pulling the trigger....

A man looking only at chart on 4h and 5 min will take trade faster than a man checking correlation upandan...the correlation might even confuse the guy into taking wrong trade or doing nothing at all.


Solution:

trade synthetic indices or crypto in addition to fx ....sth that runs every day.

Those additional 2 days practice trading will make your decision making and risk taking on such patterns faster.
