There's nothing to prove to you. I read what I read.

Let us try to be factual sometimes so that we don't create wrong impressions.

Many immigrants believe that when the ladies here smile, flirt and drink with them, all is set for them to dive in! Many make these assumptions out of ignorance, many get away with it and a few get caught up and we hear about it.

The other day, somewhere in the North, this guy was caught visiting an underage girl... Actually dressed up and travelled a long distance to hangout with this girl. Same assumption, they say hello, smile, flirt and gbam, they interpret it as 'the girl is into me'

You hustle and go through all the stresses to leave Nigeria and then come here and do this!!! Really very shameful and disgusting.

I avoid the ladies here like a plague. The juniors I mentor in the office, I keep them at bay, with many boundaries set! Any small thing the team/group will arrange drinks, kilode?

Work hard. Play hard.

Please, can this DBS be gotten while in Nigeria or it must be from the UK?
What I wrote about has nothing to do with dbs. With a day in the UK u can process dbs.

Or perhaps you should pay more attention to details. The OP said people here say care work is useless.

Talking down on care work is different from saying care work is useless. A lot of professions have been talked down on here, but saying "people say care work is useless" is way too much of a mis interpretation.

Changes nothing! Don't sugar-coat things. This thread isn't a saintly abode and no amount of text you put out here will ever change that.

Again, I READ WHAT I READ, HERE. I am not obligated to explain myself to you or anyone else with a holier-than-thou persona.

Good afternoon house.
I applied for the post study graduate route a couple of weeks ago. I just got a message regarding my dependent whom I didn’t apply for.

He was brought in at 2 years old to assess how well he would fare living with me (his father is late). However, we decided it was in his best interest to keep staying with my sister until he is slightly older so I didn’t include him in my PGWV application.

I am now worried it might be a crime taking him back. I need your advice please.

You making an elementary argument here, people have used all sorts of adjectives here to describe care work, so I don’t know why you want to bring it down to this level.

I know at least one Nigerian who does care work, two houses, one mortgage free and drives 2023 E-car.

She is a masters degree holder from this country.

Please is there a dedicated nairaland section for UK housing and other mortgage topics?
Lexusgs430:

It's not to put anyone under pressure......... But simply, something that people MUST be thinking about .......

Why continually pay your landlord's mortgage..... RENT MONEY IS DEAD MONEY......😁😂

Someone phoned me month's ago,..... He has been renting for over 3 year's, rent was £1500 pcm .......

He saw a letter from his landlord's mortgage company....

LL's mortgage pcm was £375.00 ...... If you fancy sponsoring your LL's holiday's, paying for his PCP vehicle etc etc ....... Keep paying rent ........🤣😁

Don't build a house in Nigeria, whilst been a tenant in the UK ......😂😜

Please let’s be honest, people do it on NL platform A LOT. It’s both implied and blatant. Asking for “proof” is a denial/dismissive tactic that no one has to commit time to for you. It’s you who doesn’t believe it so it’s on you to look for said proof.

Anyone who comes here, sees how the system works, then plan accordingly.

Rent money is no dead money. No one comes here and sees there’s possibility of mortgage, then decides to pay rent for 10/20 years.

“Rent money is dead money”

Make them kukuma go sleep for under bridge na?

I’ll always say this, everyone comes in with their own peculiar situation(financially).

In due time, everybody gets and enjoys what every other person gets in this country.

No pressure yourself ✌️, pay your rent, enjoy your house, enjoy your life.

And more than two people have told you it is. You’re the only one interested in SEEING and asking for said proof. Nobody else is because most see it. So look for it? 🤷🏻‍♀️

Also because it’s not that you don’t even see it, you’re just playing needless semantics snooker.

What you’re essentially doing is like arguing that the sun shines but you come in and say “no, it beams, there’s a difference between beaming and shining, bring proof that it shines”;

Anybody proving such to you is basically wasting their time. 🤷🏻‍♀️
