Bankrupt Failed State: Time To Have Namibians and Botswanans Administer Country? Nigeria has seen no single progress since 1960 and has remained the world headquarters of corruption, thuggery and occultism and brought 200 million of it's citizens sorrow, tears and blood. Is it time to consider a different approach and have Namibians and Botswanans administer the country? 2 Likes

tsdarkside: 100% agreed. Whites will loot like they have always looted. Britain ruled and exported Nigerian commodities for a century, yet at the end of their rule in 1960, Nigeria was a big fat undeveloped bush apart from Ikoyi where the whites were staying. 2 Likes |

NigerianAngelo: Ignorant, brainwashed religious fanatic. Senegal and Tanzania are well-run Muslim majority countries that are more stable and prosperous than many Christian nations, including DRC, South Sudan, Liberia, Guinea-Bissau etc. Even Ivory Coast is half Muslim and half Christian, and is relatively peaceful and well governed. 3 Likes 1 Share |

The earlier you realize that Nigeria is not a country, the better for you. What we have is a criminal enterprise whereby some moneybags struggle against each other on who will loot the most. Nigeria will continue getting worse until the people starts fighting and killing themselves. |

swaggerjack: First off, rework that thread heading... It's kinda confusing. I almost didn't want to open it thinking it was another joke. Great topic for discussion, by the way. Honestly, Nigeria is foundationally faulty, and if this faulty system of leadership made worse by astronomical corruption is not corrected, there can be no progress... In fact, there will never be progress. That's why I can't really be expected to support this current administration... And it is quite obvious this tenure will be no improvement from the last. The signs are all too glaring. In the impossibility of the above... Another option is to split the nation mutually. Clearly, this nation was wrongly amalgamated together. Worst still, removing the initial regional governments was the dumbest idea in history, and was clearly done for the corrupt interests of a few. As it stands today, most Nigerians can't speak with one voice... They can't unite to even elect the few good leaders out of their numerous corrupt politicians. The Parliament is literally nonexistent. The last time we had a proper parliament was under Obasanjo. In conclusion, and to answer your question...! If the option of importing leaders and administrators came up, I would recommend the current leadership of either Japan or Singapore... Especially the latter. Singapore was in worse state than Nigeria till they got it right in the place of leadership... Their nation never remained the same. 1 Like 1 Share |

swaggerjack:That's an interesting perspective. It's just like saying or pinning for the British to come back and take over the governance of Nigeria when we know full well that India and Pakistan which are former British colonies are now nuclear powers... Especially India which has a strong space program and a large industrial base. These countries of Namibia and Botswana are relatively small countries in terms of population size and small number of ethnic groups. So, if you bring the leadership of those countries to Nigeria, they would fail because they have to deal with a large population of 250 ethnic groups and with different cultures. Namibia even has an immigrant German population because Namibia was once a German colony like Cameroon, but Germany lost those colonies because the European allies defeated them. South Africa too has ONLY 11 ethnic groups and that is quite easy to manage. Nigerians would have to self-innovate to effectively govern themselves. It's not gonna come from outside. A decentralized system of government is what will propel Nigeria to economic greatness and reduce ethnic rivalry and inefficiencies in the system that lead to a lot of waste. Buhari's government already started the decentralization by making it possible for the states to now generate electricity and also build railway lines and railway transportation. If President 'Bola Tinubu and his economic team are not able to decentralize Nigeria further so that the states and regions can have more autonomy... Then it's gonna be better to peacefully (or forcibly) create at least 8 new countries from Nigeria because the old order is NOT sustainable for economic development which leads to a militarily strong country. |

swaggerjack:To answer my name in this call, I will say this post is wishful thinking. If you understand what corruption in Nigeria is and how everyone is consciously or unconsciously participating or benefitting from it, you would know that the mismanagement of the Nations resources is deliberate and calculated. No one can change this country unless the person wield a kind of power that thor/sango/kam Anu wields. There are two kinds of people that can change Nigeria. One is someone with deliberate good plans and wields a strong command of the youth and armed forces One that the nation trusts to take actions and decisions that are good for the nation. While it is easier to mock the nations woe by comparing the transparent government of Namibia with it, it is also a dent on our persons no matter how good we assume ourselves to be. Nigerias corruption is both wholistic and systematic. |
