Progressivegee:Man! Some of you lot are just hypocrites. This same Hustla, I’ve seen him talk about working in Support, this same guy, when a lady spoke about 2 opportunities, both in HealthCare and Tech, he advised her to go for the one she’s passionate about. This same guy has posted a number of times about Care jobs with visa sponsorship. But here you are, insulting factory workers but crying fowl that someone said one should not stay in care for long. You even went as far as repeating the same thing he said about rising into management positions by skilling up. But you want to shit on him so bad that you would rather not think but instead move to insults. Such a shame. 11 Likes |

Las las, na hustle for bread Everyman Dey. Factory o, Deliveroo o, care o, bank o, office o, suit and tie o, doctor o, analyst o. All man is working towards one goal. Meet needs, enjoy life, and provide for offsprings Whether na topay rent (dead money 😁) or sleep under bridge o, or pay mortgage. It’s all towards one direction, BILLS…….. E no pass like that. This mindset of Nigerians and Africans, in classifying labour, is based on where they come from and how life is there. People in advanced countries like in the uk, careless, most times. They just follow what suits them and give them peace and fulfillment. Nigeria? No, you must wear tie, enter office, and use biro and be analyst or sedan for computer 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Same reason why this country grows and is where it is today. 12 Likes |

kwakudtraveller: You have never seen any post denigrating care workers. You still dey find evidence? Dey play. By the way I only stated some of the hazards of factory work and did not denigrate it. Hustle is hustle. |

I keep saying we need to respect our hustles. No profession is useless to the person doing it so far as it brings food to the table and help clear bills. Having said this, support and care jobs are much more than what it is portrayed. I have listened to people paint it bad before others but remain in it. Others have painted it rosy... At the end it all boils down to you seeking employment to do your research on what you want or what you don't want. On the rent issue, like the care and support issue, it's just a friendly advice to not be too comfortable doing things temporarily but rather work towards self-sustenance in our lives. An IT Professional from Nigeria now doing care or support or factory jobs to make ends meet for example should not try to make it permanent (except that's their preference though). Same with paying rent... You can't continue paying £1500 every month for years, aim at getting your own place if you can. That's all... Friendly advice we shouldn't be tearing head over 🤷🏿♀️🙌🏾 12 Likes 2 Shares |

I have absolutely no idea what you’re talking about or what you’re even on about. You outlined something that piqued my interest about rent payment vis a vis purchasing properties, I wanted to see more about how to approach property-buying in the UK and asked for a section specifically dedicated to that. Pray tell, how and where does this question say to “carry” anything anywhere?? : “Please is there a dedicated nairaland section for UK housing and other mortgage topics?” What’s in the air today? God abeg 🥴 Lexusgs430: |

bigtt76: Well said. Left to me care jobs should be for those who have the capacity and empathy for it. I can't even imagine having to need support or loved one needing support and then the care worker is one who thinks so badly of it. It's like being left to your fate with a doctor that is just in it ONLY for the money..that's how coverups and mismanagement and death can happen. , people you care would do these things themselves if they could butt hey can't. 2 Likes 1 Share |
