helinues:you can imagine nations using taxpayer money to build weapons of mass destruction instead of utilizing it for important things, most government will rather fund wars than help their poor citizens. it seems we humans were made to be stupid and insensitive |

2mch: Lies. Food is dirty cheap. Secondly you will pay that much if you don't have a pre paid meter, stay in a flat that is not insulated during winter and don't manage your gas usage 2 Likes 1 Share |

This is one of the reasons I don't take this japa thing serious, but earnestly wish this country worked well for the good of the common man. Will the criminals in government allowed it, only time will tell. 10 Likes |

SuperOnyi: There is little difference here. One country doesn't have it enough while the other country has it in excess but citizens can't afford it. And here in Nigeria, many households bypass their prepaid meters every night just to enjoy electricity free of charge. Sometimes, our govts are not the problem but we the citizens. But we have managed to convince ourselves that our government is responsible for everything that's wrong with this country. 13 Likes |

2mch: Pound for pound electricity is more expensive in Nigeria if you ad how much you spend on generator to achieve 24 hours electricity and if you consider the minimum wage of both countries you will see Nigeria electricity bill is actually higher 4 Likes 1 Share |

Nonexisting1:Things are hard every where in the world. In America you still see homeless people. In UK, just as in everywhere in the world, you turn off your appliances to reduce your bills when high. Basically to compare your owerri to UK? Well it depends on what you want to compare and your status. If you are making great money in owerri, can afford to power your mikano, pay your electricity bills too, pay for first class schools for kids, have security, acess to good food, lifestyle, house etc, what then concerns you with abroad when you have the basics. You will rather go abroad on vacations. 8 Likes |

yommen:If you are on prepaid, you will understand better. You can load any amount you want. If you want to use it to recharge only your phones, you can just load 500 naira and rest for more than 6 months. Can Nigerians afford transportation? Okada, keke and airplane na means of transportation. Everyone will find their own level in the electricity sector. |
