Mr too know . I challenge you to point out where i wrote agent should provide fraudulent documents. Documentation entails academic credentials, bank statement, marriage certificate, work id card , payslip , scholarship award letter etc. Many applicants does not know what and what to take to the embassy and a good travel agent can point out those requirements. If i am an agent and you needed to provide those stuffs ..I will ask you to go and provide it because I cannot provide it for you . POINT OUT WHERE I WROTE THAT AGENT WILL PROVIDE FAKE DOCUMENTS.

Either you like it or not there will ever be agent . I am not one but let's be logical . Not everybody have the time to DO IT YOURSELF AS MOST OF YOU CLAIMS. You cannot edit a submitted DS I 60 .

Fill another DS 160 and update the new DS 160 on your CGI Portal. You can fill DS 160 100 times if you have the time . Your CGI page will auto update every new information you wrote there .

Good day all, I did apply to renew my visa via Dropbox and was refused. The yellow slip shows I should schedule a follow up interview. I logged into my profile and selected “Schedule Follow Up Appointment “ but it takes me to a blank page. I do not see any calendar. Can anyone advise me on what to do?

1. This is a Visit Visa Thread. Not a Student or a Marriage thread, so all the items you listed are irrelevant. Trying reading more than you write.
2. No agent can assist an applicant in getting supporting documents because these documents are proprietary to the applicant. If you don’t have it as an applicant, you don’t have it. Nobody can “support” you to “get them”, except you need someone to fraudulently produce them.
3. Most (99%) visit visa interview do not require any document. VOs don’t look at them, collect them or even read them.

As raised by someone above, this is a DIY driven thread. I am not in support of agents and cannot stop any applicant who decides to use one.

You are barking up a wrong tree thinking you have so much to say to me, but you don’t. I don’t need to challenge you to anything. Track back to your previous comments. Or see below

If you have applied for an appointment already ...after logging in into your CGI portal ..go to Reschedule appointment...and the next page it will bring is the available dates page ..if you see your favourable date click on that date and schedule a new one. If you did not see ..just log out and relogin after some hours or the next day . Keep exploring the reschedule option if you can still see it in your portal till you find your favourable date .

If you have not schedule any Appointment at all and the embassy has not email you then change your location to Abuja if you don't mind traveling there . But as a last resort you can give a call to the CGI staff for assistance..you might be favoured.

A client of mine got to Walter Carrington yesterday morning only to be told that his interview had been cancelled.

No email from them to give him a heads up.

Sad thing is the available dates are in 2025.


I guess they have so many applications hence this cancellation.

It's seem grammar is the issue here . Go back and read my comment..I wrote ..how can you retrieve an ALREADY SUBMITTED DS 160 APPLICATION ?

That your green circle is pointing to ONGOING NEW APPLICATION THAT HAS NOT BEEN FINALLY SUBMITTED...SO YOU CAN RETRIEVE THAT 100 TIMES IF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED FINALLY .

PS: DS 160 page usually time you out if you hesitate too long on each page and after time out YOU CAN RETRIEVE THE ONGOING PAGE with your DOB...security question and the initial DS 160 number .....THIS IS WHAT YOU MEANT BY ..YOU CAN CALL UP A DS 160 APPLICATION.

NO magician can retrieve an ALREADY SUBMITTED (final submission) DS 160 pages .

Normally i think ON GOING DS 160 application can be retrieved within 30 days and after the 30 days period it will be invalid .....IF THAT IS WHAT YOU MEAN BY CALL UP I AGREE ...

You’re a new Pharaoh that didn’t know Moses. A few years ago, I was one of the most active members giving quality opinions here despite not being an Agent.

On that screenshot (earlier shared) there’s nothing saying retrieving ongoing applications only.

When you retrieve a submitted application, it will take you to the attached dialog menu which will give you the option of either viewing (and reprinting) the confirmation page or create a new application which will have virtually all the details earlier entered.

If you can travel i will advise pick Abuja because Abuja is naturally not crowdy as Lagos . After your first pick don't rush to reschedule.....Let me know how it goes . Everyone puts in the work to find a near available date. If you are in the group and don't actively participate in date search you get booted out. The groups saved a lot of people last year. Nobody has time to come to nairaland to scream about a date pop up cos by the time you finish typing all the dates are gone. Those groups are the fastest ways to get updated. Abeg take it easy.
