I disagree. I'll rather we stick to coaches making sole decisions with respect to the team than opening the door to NFF interference no matter how justifiable the reason is. No player should be forced on the coach. If they can do it now because it panders to our sentiments, then they can do it later when it suits their selfish interests.

As disgusted as I am about the Super Eagle's goalkeeping situation, I won't advocate for NFF interference even if it is for the better. We are gradually getting to the point where coaches have some sense of autonomy in deciding who makes their team, we should do everything to ensure we don't turn the tide. What the NFF can do is sack him if he doesn't meet the KPI's set for him and hire a new coach who should be left to make his own decisions.

He has KPI's; qualify for the world cup and Semi-Final of AFCON. That's what his contract says. Until he falls short of any he his well within his right to steer the team as he deems fit. The only thing the NFF can do his sack him. Look at the England team for instance, most fans prefer Tomori over Maguire, but Athe coach has his preference and it has to be respected. Any intervention no matter how noble that involves interfering with the coach's decision is a No No.

I suspected I would make the list because many know my passionate love and support for the Super Eagles. However, in recent periods, I have not been that passionate, due to many things going on in the glass house and the running of our football. The Super Eagles used to be a priority, but I have lost faith, and I have not followed the team this year.

With that, I apologize to all those who voted for me and to the many who have kept this thread alive. Please, even though it might seem wrong, it is the right thing to do. The committee should have been made up of passionate followers of the Super Eagles in the last calendar year, and I am not.

I will work on rekindling my passion for the team, and I hope whoever replaces me does a fantastic job.

But remember: They say form is temporary but class is permanent. Well let me recoin that statement thus: passion is temporary but commitment is permanent.

Bro, I'm not as passionate a Super Eagles fan as I was years ago but nevertheless I still feel bound to the team and the glue that binds me to the team is stronger than the ebb and flow of my passion.

So regardless of the measure of your passion, the green blood flows in your vein. Your many years of passionate commitment and enthusiastic support provides enough credit sufficient to compensate for the temporary deficit in the strength of your passion.
