I hate this Nigerian mentality. Government don't have to patronize! This is not a socialist/communist country, rather the government has to improve the macroeconomic stability so that hardworking Nigerians can patronize which will be far more that wasteful government spending.

There are videos online were some of the works were been done by hand. I mean pure construction on the chassis and doors though I heard he has upgraded to automated process now. From an engineering point of view, the only complex part to a vehicle is the engine and gearbox system not because it is hard per ser but because it requires a mold which in turn requires large amount of energy which is something we are currently lacking as a nation.

When the sleepy executive and legislative in their numbers are busy spending billions of our money importing cars with the claim they need cars that will endure Nigerian roads as if the masses are the ones to repair the roads for them since we do not repair it they have every justification to import while the citizens should patronize locally made cars. Judgement Day story go dey and those that are party to supporting and defending evil will not escape.

Most of the cars I have seen have a resemblance with Nissan though. Their last 18 seater bus and SUV I saw last time OMG. I love their products at least most that I have seen.

Not true. They buy from different OM markets and put together. They don't buy 100% brand cars and assemble here. This would expose the brand to liability for a product over which it has no control.

Nigerian car makers should learn the art of lobbying , there is a legislative act that has been activated that cars used by government must make up at least 40% of total order , I think they will begin to implement it from next budget cycle, car makers should start to lobby now to get the assembly to work with them .
