Initially, silver was the primary currency in Europe. Over time, gold replaced silver as the dominant currency worldwide. The transition set the stage for the introduction of the USD. The United States, aiming for a stable and reliable currency, anchored the value of the USD to gold.
This system, known as the gold standard, meant that each dollar was backed by a specific amount of gold, and people could theoretically exchange their USD for an equivalent amount of gold. This linkage provided a sense of security and trust in the currency, as its value was tied to a tangible, precious metal.

Then the USD experienced what is called a Bank run after the Great Depression; a situation where everyone tried to redeem their USD for Gold. Then it was discovered the US government doesn’t have enough Gold to cover for the USD. ( i am over simplifying the issue here )
This gold standard was eventually abandoned in the 20th century, leading to the USD becoming a fiat currency, meaning its value is not backed by a physical commodity but rather by the government that issues it. This shift marked a significant evolution in the nature of currency, from tangible assets like gold and silver to trust in governmental and financial institutions.

We are in the digital era, and also in an era where trust between countries is at its lowest. This environment provides fertile ground for programmable money, which means cry.p.toc.u.r.r.encies are here to stay. There will be ups and downs, and we will see grifters in the space, but Bit.c.o.in is not going away.

The USD was initially backed by trust, similar to how Bitcoin is backed by trust. What makes B.i..in different is that it offers privacy (which is different from anonymity); it is also easily verifiable by anybody. I am not in any way directly comparing BeeTeeCee to USD. The USD has been around for more than 200 years used by almost all countries, while Bitcoin is barely 15 years old.

Crypto market has been seriously manipulated to favour only the big players holding bitcoin. I do not forseen any alts holder making reasonable profit even if bitcoin reach 100k. It was never like this before. Only SOL and handful of others made a serious moves, others are just losing it at wide margins irrespective of bitcoin movement.

If you have big fund, trade only bitcoin and some alts that move with it.

Read the bolded again , you are contradicting yourself...if you believe some alts move with bitcoin , then why do you still go ahead to say that "you do not forseen any alts holder making profit even if bitcoin reach 100k "...??

You don't even understand my post, who say alts move with bitcoin? By saying some, I mean very few which I think 90% of investors don't know. SOL, ETH, BNB, LTC.

And what about the remaining 10% that know??

You initially said you do not forseen "any" alt holders making profit..."Any" in this context means zero.. meaning "no one "...so what about the other 10% ??

Actually people make money trading altcoins. The moment that you find a technic that works for you, stick with it and you will be amazed on how much you can make. After trying different technics, I discovered a method that I stick to. Note that I have recorded a great lost in the past. I have tried different technics. At one point, I started believing that if High Blood Pressure or Heart Attack doesn't kill a crypto trader, nothing else can kill the trader.

Finally, I think my method is working like I want it to work.

I will be opening a thread very soon which I will use to update my daily report. The funny thing is that Btc and Eth are among the coins I hate trading on. Here is a prove of my last 12days trade. Hopefully, I will finalize things very soon and start posting/update my daily trade.

The kind of question some people ask sometimes really irritating. I hate people who cannot creatively comprehend a post. I"ve already gave an exception of some that move up with Bitcoin, why asking unnecessary question again. I did not even say " not making profit" , I said "reasonable profits".

If you feel you can make it big in those shitcoins, then leave my post to those that will learn from it and move on.

Oga relax..

U are correct..

Alts have not done much..

Reason is cos must traders are avoiding alts for now, cos of alts wahalla..

Someone on this thread usually remind us to abstain from any coins above the top ten.. Cos of the risk involved..

The alt market is into selective pumps for now, they only pump good projects like $KAS.

Most shit coins may never pump..

I said “May”, bf one illiterate, uglified @doyin1 go come argue with person wey Dey educated..

Those saying alts do not give profit are just newbies to this crypto space.

Way back in 2013-2017, alts gave the millennials a stepping stone to open businesses and factories which some folks are working in.

Bitcoin, alts give profit. The problem is choosing the alts by following the major breakthrough in science in the years before the bill run happens.

#AI is one of them. Keep following.

No one is manipulating
crypto in the sense you
mean.
What is happening is that
people who have major
funds to invest are avoiding
most shitcoins
bevause experienced traders
and investors have realised
that most of them are nothing
