It's definitely going to be Aribo.

Marjoribanks:
Onyedika will give the midfield energy! One of Aribo/Iwobi has to leave for another tackler cos we are loosing the midfield battle that can ensure a quick turnover!

if NIgeria players are that good in their craft, they will beat a minnow team like Zimbabwe without a hurdle irrespective of the supervising coach or the quality of the playing pitch.

You will never see a team like France struggling against an impotent Lithuania irrespective of the supervising coach
Look at how well coached the zims are and use your church mind to tell me they're currently whooping us because of the quality of their players

Lesotho and Zimbabwe will be playing their home games there (except Zimbabwe now decides to remain in Rwanda).

Many NIgerians seem to fantasize this team as a golden generation comparative to our 90s,far from it......the players presently are average and inconsistent......our so called golden generation struggle against minnows and our coach seems to get the heep of the blame

A good team like Portugal or France will not struggle to beat minnows like Lithuania and gilbratar irrespective of the coach supervising them
Oh please, can you shut up!
Yes we are average and Zimbabwe are world class abi? Senseless post

The only players I just pity for is Victor Osmihen missing back to back world cup not good and also Nigeria journalist no show . Please nff should just sack this mumu coach this evening. Zimbabwe is even dominating ball position against the super eagles

Let me say this Bro

Any tactically sound coach at least with 60-70% knowledge of modern football tactics and team selection with a fair and unbiased team call ups and players selection will excel as Nigeria super eagles coach when it comes to africa football.

Nothing else, just get your team selection right and put in the right tactics and do well we to read games you'll excel as Nigeria coach

This Pasiero does not learn and he is dumb
what if the coach is working with sub-quality juvenile players like Moses who do not have the calibration to know when to cross the ball into the box or fool around with the ball attempting to dazzle everyone with his unwarranted dribbling.

Do you expect him to do magic

It shows you the man is stupidly clueless. Is Iheanacho the solution of a midfield that can't even play a one two. What have we done wrong? Seriously this is deeply disheartening.

At club level strikers are usually paid higher than most players on the team.
so that means most of the SE strikers have more money to buy their way into the team than the other players and could the one of the reasons more strikers are invited to the SE.

Which kind substitution be this? Removing Onyeka while Aribo and Iwobi are on the pitch. This coach is definitely out to ruin our football

coach and players matters,it not a one-sided thing, the coach should not alone bear the brunt of everything.

Do you expect pep guardiola to win the premier league with everton

That's why he is lost. The idea was for him to play AM while Iwobi plays a little deeper as a CM and Onyeka as the anchor (CDM).

Aribo is always lost in the middle.

Danielnino00:

Was Aribo even playing in the midfield? It looked more like he was playing supporting striker...

Just read what you wrote....

Whose duty is to caution and instruct his players what to do on the pitch?

I said you don't understand foot ball and I think I am right.....
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by cc12(m): 3:13pm On Nov 19, 2023
This coach is completely daft, Zimbabwe just need a good counter attack to score Nigeria, imagine playing Iwobi as a DMF,subbing Onyeka while leaving Aribo on the pitch.

If Nigeria loses today, Peseiro will be sacked, Eguavon/Salisu will replace him, Nigeria will win a few games due to honeymoon/surprise factor and eventually start loosing again; Eguavon/Salisu will be fired and another random foreign coach hired without due diligence.
Some Nigerians will support the NFF whether they have a reasonable plan or not. These ones are in the same whatsapp group as those who proclaimed that they would vote Buhari out in 2019 if he did not perform, and those who fully expect that they will be able to vote Tinubu out if he does not perform.
The future is for those who plan and prepare, there is no accidental luck waiting around for anyone who is not willing to do the work.

If they were truly a golden generation, they'd be qualifying for the world cup with ease. Our team is just not good enough, and we make things worse by hiring frauds. If we can't afford good foreign coaches, better to stick with our good home-based coaches.
