Smile, you belittling the Super Eagle. The world cup qualification is a maranthon. Do not lose hope. We have the personnel to be the best in Africa if we change our orientation and have the believe that we can achieve anything we set out to do. South Africa players are not Messi and Ronaldo.

I understand you talking from the point of pain. I went thru it too..but brother we do not have quality players in the shambolic association football we play that we call NPFL. The only players i know in that choatic league are few goal keepers...every other outfield player is not a material for the super eagles...if am wrong you can help by listing any above average player in the league that can immediatelydisplace any super eagle player currently position wise. Thank you.
yinkeys:

No they cannot beat Lesotho
They aren’t willing to give 100%
Lesotho or Zimbabwe on a good day will beat Nigeria
You think those boys are playing when they hear they’d face Nigeria
But NPFL boys will beat Lesotho, Zimbabwe & Benin republic because they’re much more hungry & desire to prove they can
They yearn for the opportunity but you guys reserved every spot for foreign based players and goalies 😂

We don't actually need a whiz kid Sir.
I don't want to mention names of player who can do better than those playing currently in the super eagle setup.

The u20 goalkeeper is better than Uzoho our first choice goalkeeper.
Also a young CB at the last U20 can do better than some of the so called big boys we have paraded.

Even in midfield there are boys good enough to start in the super eagles who are within the 20 years old mark.

We need a coach with balls to ring those changes.
.

Broda you are not far from the truth but we will condemned any coach who will bench Ajayi or Bassey for fedie Benjamin 😂😂

I think it's high time we talked about the local players that have played for us starting from the 2013 keshi team and their career progression. How come majority if not all of them don't make that much headway in their career wherever they go? Is it lack of ability or agent issue? I can't remember any local based player who played for the national team and excelled (outside of Musa and etebo to an extent) right from keshi's time.

This is the lie that’s been spread for over a decade
We don’t have the quality.
I don’t wish to hear anymore of this
We can start by changing the entire goalkeeping department
Some individual talents are sidelined because they’re not in good teams
When Rohr doesn’t watch NPFL
Just watched European games and chose to make his job easy
Peseiro wasted peoples time and money going to watch local games.
He’s a below par coach with very poor cv
Coaches like Siasia or Eguavoen’s cv much better than his
Nigeria wish just a cash grab thanks to his connections
The politicians at the glass house are out for their pockets
Waldrum did a good job at the World Cup
Instead of settling welfare issues and sorting out a new contract for him they chose not to.
We should have given him time to build on what he started.
Thanks to their ego he’s gone.
Don’t be surprised when Nigeria don’t qualify for womens Afcon, Olympics or World Cup one day
Keshi’s formula of blending home & foreign based is the best if you ask me.
Sad Nigeria won’t qualify for the tournament in America
NFF’s fault
South Africa will not want to slip up seeing the table

It goes deeper than just the coach my guy. Rohr, Eguavoen and Peseiro have basically churned our same result. One variable is constant here. "The Players"!

Sir, what can be done to the players then?
Can d fans bear it to see Lukmon or Boniface on d bench why some LP hold-sway on d field? Would all hell not activated from d sleeping mode?

Seriously pajero does not inspire confidence, very unfortunate.

I have a different view of Ndidi. I think he should be in our defensive setup. I know he has been playing as a midfielder for ages, but I feel his defensive work rate will best suit us if he plays as a center-back. If he is focused on breaking down opposing attacks, I feel he will excel. With his training in midfield, he could even have some defensive ball-playing attributes.

Yes i AGREE.

It is high time we push Ndidi to the super eagles defence.
Then let Onyedika and Nwakali Pair while Iwobi stay 10 in our mildfilder.

If Kelechi Nwakali is not in the team, Iwobi has to play the deep lying role. Not Aribo or Onyeka. At least Iwobi has the technical ability to lay through passes. I don't see that in Onyeka and Aribo.

Either way, the team needs Kelechi Nwakali.

Absolutely NOT

This needs to change.
I listened to Sunday mba’s radio interview some months ago. He said that if the eagles invited aren’t willing to give 100% on the pitch for Nigeria they should fake injury and not bother coming, he said it would be much better than disappointing us. He said that’s one of the reason super eagles aren’t playing well. Commitment level or possibly standards dropped

*smile*, brother all you have mentioned is in the public discourse. Do we have upto 5 quality players in the association league mind you i did not say 1 quality player nor Professional league we play in this country?. If we do and you think they can immediately replace the players we parade in SE presently please bring them up..you never mind know we can push their case.
I honestly think what we need to change asap is the technical dept. A top quality coach.

To avoid that Angola repeat, we need to beat whoever the group leaders are home and away. Not even 4 points. But 6. That will make up for this stale draws they started with. Anything else, if we like, score 70goals.

We should just forget about this world cup.
The players are not ready. NFF is not serious.

Also, I think there's conspiracy against Nigeria.
Our matches came too soon.
Artificial turf was approved for Nigeria.
Lesotho and Zimbabwe would be playing their home matches in South Africa. That's more home matches for SA, a team in same group. Who does that?
NFF didn't notice or protest any of this. Algeria protested our last match in 2018 even when they were already out.

Saw the freekick Uzoho conceded. On the face of it the goal can beat a lot of GKs but in a high stakes match on like WC qualifiers where little margins count this is where a goalkeeper in form would have made the difference.

The current inadequacies of our 'attacking' team will make such GK problems stick out the more.
Great goal but wrong GK positioning

After AFCON, it is crucial for the national team managers to arrange high-quality friendlies to incorporate talented players like Amas Obasogie, Olise Ndah, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro, Victor Eletu, Tochukwu Nnadi, and Igoh Ogbu into the squad. This strategic move will enhance team cohesion and provide an opportunity for these promising players to showcase their skills on the international stage.

When will these kelechi Nwakali talk stop...kelechi these, Kelechi that, kelechi better than players playing in better league and top club...i honestly do not understand you again. If Kelechi is really good like you advocating, dont you think top agencies would have poach him and find top level team for him to exhibit all these manufactured quality you making out for him.
To be honest with you, kelechi can not do more than what the players we have in the midfield does now. What we need in Super Eagle is a very top quality coach that reads the game very well....not all these your manufactured unreal submission.

Keep your dislike for Kelechi Nwakali aside and talk tactically. Our team coach played with a deep lying playmaker in the last match
Tell us who you think is most suitable among the Super Eagles eligibles for that role.

Reeling names of players when the fundamental issues remain unresolved is somewhat funny.

If JP has prime Mikel, Okocha and even Oliseh available he would most likely set up the team with the wrong structure... leading to stifled performances.

I think Pinnick's experiment with Rohr worked partially cos Rohr had reasonable coaching experience on the continent.....JP is learning too many things on the job..using the SE as lab rats which isn't good enough.

i just pray we get someone to make Iwobi forget the DLP role or covering for any 3. A team that wants to contend will need iwobi fully concentrated on his primary duties. Issue is apart from any good midfield pairing, who is selfless like Ndidi?

I agree with you. This is where the coach needs to do more thinking and screening. I agree Iwobi will be most suited supplying the final passes for the forwards but I think Peseiro is also prioritizing build up plays and is going with what he has available.

If he studies the players outside the box, I believe he can get a better set up to get a more balanced play.

However, he can not achieve this if he does not prioritize the number of midfield players in camp.

So Mba had enough "commitment" to win AFCON but didn't have it to make an excellent footballing career.

Nigerians and bandwagon effect. Reminds me of the country chanting "restructuring" under GMB as if that's the panacea to the citizen's complicity to corruption.
