I have noticed some sort of contempt for tech around my community. There's this effort to get me out of tech to the extent where I am being insulted, threatened, placed under the worse form of psychological abuse. Accused of witchcraft, I guess it has a lot to do with where I stay. Does this seem unusual? If you had have the same experience please let me know. How did you cope with it? The most difficult aspect is that it's within a higher institution.

The surprising aspect is this is within a school environment higher institution for that matter. I was residing in a particular neighborhood. Stayed indoor to work on improving my tech skills. Eventually my neighbors started accusing me of using witchcraft. The persecution was excessive, I left there for school they went ahead to my school told some students around there too, to my surprise, they fell for the same thing and started calling me lots of name too from mockery to all sorts of names like professor in a way that it seems like mockery to me. If not for the fact that I don't have money I would have leave the school by now. I would prefer to go back and improve my skills, look for a job I will attach by the side and eventually get into tech too.
They spoilt my PC. Like the amount of persecution was extreme. I guess this has to do with the fact that for now I decided not to get into any relationship until I might have improved myself financially especially. They actually wanted me to get married to one of their daughter and I don't want to. They didn't approach me directly, set me up, I didn't fall for it, I left and then that's the source of their grievance. Maybe if I had fell for the setup they would have had an open opportunity to deal with me. But since it didn't happen. This is the only means they had to punish me. I don't know why this should be happening. I just help out of the situation. I can't concentrate in class or read effectively anymore. I just need help out of the situation. I am thinking of dropping out, but I don't want to disappoint my mum because she really want me to graduate. I am in HND1 right now studying electrical electronic engineering. I am having panic attacks, anxiety and fear because I have no idea what would happen next.
I think someone out there needs to here this and help me out. Like I don't know what to do right now

I've been through a similar situation... If you abandone your studies because you're afraid of people's opinion and worried about what they think you will regret it latter on. Do they feed you? Do they pay your rent? Do they clothe you? Then why are you so bothered?

Wherever you go people will always have something negative or positive to say about you. Will you also keep running when you start hearing rumors?

From your story I foresee you're currently having a spotlight effect which makes you interprete every gesture as an attack on you but relax bro this same people you think are out to eat you also have their problems to solve and you're not even in their thought to begin with.

Even if they're making mockery of you, you've not yet been mocked to the point of them spilling your blood.. na only mouth Dem get nothing more and should you allow people's mouth to decide for you to quit school and run you'll only have yourself to blame.

Focus on your studies and learn your skills you don't have to explain yourself to anyone.

Why do keep telling everyone that you're doing tech, why can't you just close your mouth shut. If you don't announce it, no one will find out.

Unfortunately they are my neighbors. I discovered they broke into my room and has been eaves dropping on me for a while. Initially they acted like they had no interest in me but unfortunately that wasn't the case. They had the utmost interest in what I was doing all the time indoors and came up with everything in their power to stop me. Recently I discovered they went ahead to report me to the police for being a yahoo boy. The police actually secretly monitored my activity and discovered I wasn't into those kind of stuff. I am actually looking for a way out.

Okay got into my room through the ceiling. I didn't know about that until recently. I guess they initially reported me to the police and then had to get in or got in before going to the police since they couldn't find something tangible and required some more in depth investigation. They had links to the police and so what would you expect? Maybe they where actually carrying a real investigation on a neutral ground.

I don't actually have a girlfriend. If I do have it should be a girl a few blocks away in which I think it was nothing serious. I begin to believe she came into my life to spy on me too. She was an agent too .

That is why I came online to see if anyone else has had the same experience or something. I might have a problem actually, but I am trying really hard to sort it out. I think sharing my thoughts online has helped a lot too.

Breath in and out ignore what is going around believe in yourself and prayer to your God even though it hurt.

I come to understand that most people around me get threatened by my presence. Since I was working on stuff beyond their imagination. To me it felt normal but right now, I think they are suffering from inferiority complex seeing I was upto something. I just got to relax and find my way to a place like Lagos where I can sit down and practice or even get a job.
