It's abnormal to eat raw pepper that is not cooked. Even the shito u are talking about took time to be prepared before they stored it for future use.

Tapioca just needs u to put the stuff in boiling water, turn it and it's ready.

You can cook/fry yam while u are in the shower and then fry the egg almost immediately. It does not require any serious monitoring
