Just curious. Are there things that only Nigerians can help with?

Just wondering if you cannot get some diversity and redundancy so you do not rely on Just this one.

Salaam.

Yeah it’s pretty much just places to get African food, and all that stuff and also looking for community.

Good morning seniors Sir/ma

I have Bsc in Accounting with 5 years in banking as full staff, hence,I am presently head financial transactions unit of the branch I work.

So I want to apply for post graduate certificate in Canada for Project management or Data analytics for business decision making both at Durham college and Fleming college.

1)Which option will you advice I go for looking at job outlook?

2)For "Data analytics for business decision making ",I chose it cos I felt my job role sometimes involve presentations, doing reports and all, will that be convincing enough to the visa officer.

look for a province with PNP for students, Ontario doesn’t have last I checked. No one can tell the economic outlook when you would have graduated. Your experience back home is what will likely get you a job not what you studied.

data science but you don’t know how to check their website? Its one of the most expensive schools in Canada, can you afford it? Do you have up to 35m? Funny guy

I want to try a loan or scholarship, whichever one works.

NuCypher:

Go to their website and apply. It's utoronto.ca. They offer MASc in Computing with concentration in data science. That's the closest they offer in terms of explicit data science. Otherwise, you can apply to their Statistics program and you will also get the option to choose several data science courses, especially those leveraging on statistics. I did that Statistics program and can tell you for free it's not a walk in park, so be sure what you want to get into. The MASc is more expensive and relatively easier to get into as long as you have the money, but there are scholarship options available, e.g. Vector Scholarship. The Statistics program is cheaper, but more difficult to get into and to pass. If you want to attend the University of Toronto, make sure you know what you are doing. Nobody is going to hold your hand through your course.

Thanks a lot. I really appreciate.

If you are exchanging a Nigerian license, you will have to pass your theory test before you can book for your practical test. You can use this link to practise for your theory test, practise as much as you can. testdeconnaissances.saaq.gouv.qc. ca/en/

For the practical test, those guys wants to make sure you are turning your neck to the point it breaks 😃😃 when doing shoulder check. Make sure not to forget blindspot check when changing lanes or turning left/right (very very important)

Practice parole parking and also spot parking. And very important, make sure your hand/parking brake is engaged before your instructor gets into the car and also after your test.

If you already own a car, you can practice on your test location to be familiar with the road or you can get a tutor to practise with. Goodluck 👍

Hello All,

How do you guys travel to Nigeria on direct flights? What airlines do you use and how far away did you have to book?

Regards.

Direct flights from where? There are no direct flights from Canada to Nigeria. Getting to the US first is as direct as it gets.
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by MayorOfEdmonton: 4:10pm On Nov 22, 2023
Theres always stopover(s) depending on the flights(Air France/Paris, KLM/Amsterdam, EA/Dublin/Ethiopia Egypt Air/Cairo Lufthansa/Frankfurt etc). If the stopover is in US, you'd need a US visa.
The general trend is the farther the flight date is the cheaper the air ticket potentially. I usually just play around the dates for fun🙈🙈

You earn 100k dollars and can’t afford rent of 2500?

How many people even earn up to 100k$ annually? Yet they still pay their rents.

How much is $100k income after tax?
And no, I never disclosed my income.
FYI, a 2500 rent in a year is $30,000.

At $100k a month, a 2500 apartment is already around 35-40% of monthly income. Anyone doing that is just asking for trouble in this inflation-ridden economy.
