I am currently about to start my NYSC and my interview date is February. I plan on visiting for 2 weeks.
Does me currently doing NYSC boost my chances as that’s a tie back to home and enough motive to come back or does it deter it ?

Don't apply for a Visit Visa and plan to "convert" to study while Stateside.
Apply to Community Colleges from Nigeria, the fees are cheaper and sometimes easier to get placement than full fledged universities. You'd still go for interview like you would for B1/B2.
The programs are also flexible. You also get SSN and EAD for 20hr/week to work legally. What you do with your other hours is anyone's guess. Just make sure you have your minimum course units. Avoid hybrid programs.
The hurdle to cross will be when your program is done, what next? That's what applicants are not being told when they hoodwink them to go study route. The only option is sham marriage. Jobs are not guaranteed, without which you'd be out of status.

Please note that some visas come with conditions. You can only use it for the purpose you applied for. Entering US and deciding to stay back without adequate documentation will lead to a life of misery. Don't let anyone decieve you. Apply to colleges from Nigeria. Pick good courses and have a good reason for going to study in the US. I wish you all the best.

You can fill a new one. Then change the form details on your profile. If you can search this forum some people have done it before and it worked. Just use keywords and type in the search column. The info will pop up. Don't panic everything will work out fine.

I got my Visit Visa to us far back as May24 but I haven't travel since then I told the Visa Officer I'm travelling for summer Holiday that I'm going to lake wales In Florida , But due to lot of stuffs like my project In Uni ( I was doing my msc program in uni plymouth uk ) then ....But now I want to travel for Christmas and I'm going to San Francisco for the christmas ....will that affect me at the point of entry for changing the city i want to travel too and the timing .....NB: I booked a return ticket back to uk and hotel reservation as well ....I just want to know if I will be penalize for chaning the city i told the vo lake wales Fl to San Francisco ...please some give me an answer I'm worried

I choose the date I previously saw march, then I refreshed again the next day and saw 21st November I immediately choose it.

they didn’t ask or look at anything at all, but I went with my employment letter, bank statement, ds-160 confirmation, my delivery confirmation page… the only tin they ask to see was my pass and ds-160 form.

No one can give you a definite answer to this question as each applicant’s circumstance and interview experience varies and can sometimes vary significantly. I know folks who have been given an F2 visa and others who have been denied an F2 visa. Although U.S. consular officers are notoriously known for not checking applicants’ documents, you may want to go with your husband’s current I-20, copy of his F1 visa, proof of current enrollment, transcripts, apartment lease, TA/GA/RA appointment letter, paystub if he has a TA/GA/RA, biweekly stipend if he is on a scholarship/fellowship, your husband’s bank statement, your bank statement, and proof of your marriage. Any other document that you have to prove your home ties is also a plus. Better to have the documents and not need them than to need them and not have them!

How long does your husband have left to complete his program? I ask because if your husband is in an MSc program and has already completed a year, he probably has a year or less left to complete his program (minus OPT) so be prepared to respond if the consular officer asks you why it has taken you at least a year to apply to join your husband and why you want to go now when your husband might have approximately a year left before he completes his program. Good luck!
