Even if it’s true that Benin founded some part of Lagos, Yoruba go gree? They will always come up with lies to counter it. Etiosa, idumagbo in island are Edo names which were created when They arrived in Lagos.

how is eti osa an edo word?? This is beyond your mental capacity mr winter cap.

The problem with the Benin is that of inferiority complex. How can you wage war against a section of a state (Lagos Island) and then turn back to say that you founded the entire Lagos. Shall we ask them if badagry, epe, Ikeja, ikorodu or alimosho were part of their founding.?
That was how they recreated the story to look as if they founded the entire yorubaland when Oranmiyan (a yoruba Prince) even ruled over them and gave them the title Oba.
It is terrible to be an erroneous historian just to make it favour your narrative.

Inferiority complex indeed. Shut up jor

Olodo

It's Eti osa

Osa meaning Lagoon in Yoruba.

Eti meaning near or Ear in Yoruba

Eti osa is generic name given to the local government area when Lagos State was created. It means near Lagoon.

There's nothing precolonial era about Eti osa

You are 100% right here, those land grabbers does not want hear Binis own any part of Lagos. most of them commenting here are from kwara state

Mushin looks like it used to be a place where humans were sacrificed then when you consider the name of it's founder.......Oduabore/ Aileru. That should roughly translate to "Oduabore(divination of human killers)/Aileru(we don't use slaves). To go there would have been scary then and even till now, the stigma still seems to hang on to it.

By the way, wetin be the ibos history. I am yet to know about their progenitors......

oh, I forgot that they are jews and their history is in the Talmud. grin grin

Apongbon too has Benin origin, name wise.

However the fact is when the Benin kingdom had their millitary settlements in "Lagos", the place was just a collection of different locations connected by bush paths and not the one huge monolith we have now called Lagos.

I really wish The Ọba (gha to kpere bàbà) had not said Benin owns Lagos, all that is happening is those dastardly IPOBidients are using his words to catch cruise.

Hopefully Jackson Ude abd David Hundeyin would find something else Anti-Tinubu soon to distract the little rascals.

11. Ebute Ileke (Lekki) - Lootu, son of Labolo, grandson of Oba Alara of Ilara Epe.
12. Ibeju - Abeju Agbeduwa originally from ife through the coastal Ijebu area.
34. Ikosi Kosofe - Aina ejo from Isheri.
36. Ilara Epe - Tunse/Sabolujo/Alara Adejuwon/
37. Ibonwon - Soginna from Ijebu.
43. Ikorodu - Oga from Epe Sagamu. The name (Oko Odu) means the Oduvegetable farm.
44. Epe - Uraka from Ife joined by Isein & Modu of Omu. they settled under a Popoka tree, which became Poka township. Alaro (a woman) later joined. Then Ramope, Ogunmude and Oloja Shagbafara joined from Ijebu ode.
46. Agbowa - Olayeni Otutubiosun son of Owa Otutubiosun who was Awujale, and grandson of Lafogido of Ife.
49. Imota (Umu ota) - Oloja Adekoya Ofirigidi and Ranodu from Ijebu.
54. Ejinrin - Baloofi Ogunmude founded Ejinrin around 1619.
55. Eputu Lekki - Ogunfayo.
56. Orimedu Ibeju/Lekki - Ladejobi left Ife to Okegun then crossed the Lekki Lagoon.
59. Ibonwon - Soginna from Ijebu ode.
I'm of the notion that ijebu ancestry is different from the ife. All ijebu came from ijebu ode that is as old as ife.
My greatest surprise is me not see ogunmodede
56 Ladejobi leaving ife to ibeju will have to be investigated. The people who should dominate that region should be aworis and ijebus from ijebu-ode.
43 What do you mean by Epe Sagamu? Ikorodu founders should be from sagamu, what is Oga from Epe Sagamu?

Is Ogunmude same as ogunmodede?

And we are just to take your word for it, right?

You these small fries called Binis from Benin should watch your smelly mouths ! If you allow your senseless follies to drag you idiots to our attention, trust me,we will shredd you to pieces mercilessly ! It's funny how you think a tribe like the Yoruba people, who are renowned for their high level of intelligence, will ever lose track of their history ! We are always on top of our games.

Oh,you guys assumed that Yoruba people don't know their history because we've chosen to ignore you,one consequential Binis, all this while, right ? Trust me,if you really know who you're as a Bini man or woman, trust me, you'll hate your silly self ! Some of you are highly delusional, you claimed you founded Lagos,we presented verifiable facts to counter your claims, you claimed Aworis were Binis, the Aworis said their progenitor was a Yoruba man from Ile Ife;you kept on embarrassing your ogiso ancestors all over the internet ! Wetin dey even wori una ?! You think you can ever extend whatever influence you may have in Edo beyond the boundary of your tiny land in Edo state ?!
That we often ignore your excesses and gibberish you spew from time to time is because of the respect we Yoruba have for the Benin royal stool and that's because it belongs to us,one of our forefathers established the Eweka ruling dynasty which rules the city till today !

Take it or leave it, everything about Benin, from religion, art, culture, heritage, etc to the tittle, appellations and praise names of the Oba,is deeply rooted in Yoruba. Those are our signatures in Benin which you pained and insecure Binis can NEVER change ! Trust me,that man who sits,as your Oba in his palace, is a Yoruba man; that's your painful reality !

Now,counter the Op's claims with your own facts or remain dumber than you're already forever !
