That is why in my write up I said realistically for me its N15. However, I am not even seeing the kind of noise I expect from shareholders associations, like news articles on local and international press. Drag Wale by the balls and how he ripped off Nigerian shareholders after the acquistion of Conocophillps and now things are about getting better, you want to delist the company.

Drag Wale round the international Business media and see if his unlce will not call him to order. Waiting for the courts is defeat!!!

Its not Wale that instigated the delisting saga cry Guy are you serious grin grin grin

Oando Minority shellholders should be thanking the 14 shareholders that went to court, else by now the N7.00 is a done deal grin

A Federal High Court in Lagos has approved the purchase of all the minority shares of Venus Construction Company Ltd in Oando PLC as the energy firm reports N132 billion net loss.

According to its filing on the NGX, the approval was part of the outcomes of the petition filed by 14 shareholders, holding 299,257,869 shares in Oando.

In the disclosure signed by the Company Secretary, Ayotola Jagun, Venus had approached the court on March 25, 2021 for the shares buyout either by Ocean and Oil Development Partners Limited, OODP or Oando.

The court ordered Oando PLC to convene within 120 days a meeting of shareholders to consider, and approve for the Oando shares purchases; Oando told NGX it will take a step in one month for that.

“Today, OODP has a shareholding of 57.37% in Oando PLC and the above-mentioned minority shareholders 42.63% shareholding. This action precipitated by the petition from certain Oando minority shareholders, if approved by all the minority shareholders at the court-ordered meeting will result in a voluntary delisting of the Company’s shareholding on the NGX,” it noted.

So we should not discuss a stock because someone decides to buy/not to buy it, based on what I say. You guys always amuse me.

You are on point my brother.

My own take is since the case is adjourn till February, oando share price should rise above #16 if the minority shareholders are serious .

Oga Stcool not referring to you in particular o.
Maybe I should have quoted mikeapollo instead.
He's the one saying it forward and backward, guess he's just looking for some validations on his holdings...

So, if OANDO is giving him sleepless night, let him exit, buy what gives him peace of mind instead........ after all he said his break-even price was around N5 or so.

Some of us are still waiting to see the end of all these dramas after all.

''Serious''?
I don't think shareholders would just buy and push Oando share price above N16 just because they are ''serious''.
They would require some level of information assurance or certainty, even though they know that investing connotes taking risks.
There is the opportunity cost of capital, interest rate and inflation to consider, so it would take more than ''seriousness to just buy shares with their scarce resources
The court has just been dragging the case for far too long. This case was adjourned from Mar2023 to Oct2023, then to Nov2023, and now Feb2024. That is one whole year wasting people's time and tying down precious funds for nothing.
Is the court waiting for the FY2022 full year and FY2023 half results before ruling on the matter?
This is a civil matter and not a murder case, for crying out loud!

My brother, please try to communicate in some simplified English.
This platform is online; not everybody may be a Nigerian, and not even every Nigerian may understand your kind of pidgin English.
Don't add your confusion to what Oando has caused already

Make I exit Oando for who to make the multimillion profits? You lie bad!
I am only laying bare all the potential highs and lows as we journey with the Oando jerky aircraft. That is the nature of taking risks and we should be balanced and educate ourselves.
Those who may not like what I type here about Oando may just ignore my posts and jump over.

For Oando? We die there!

You won't die there my brother, you enter physically fit and would come out physically fit also. No stock in NGX is worth dying for, just explore and see if it is worth your while.

I sold my Oando this morning at profit though. That doesn't mean that I will not enter again when I see opportunities.

Did the 14 minority shareholders in Oando go to court before or after the N7.07 offer price?
I think they went to court before Oando proposed the buyout price of N7.07. It was their case that made Oando to propose N7.07 which will not fly by the way

I would end by saying this...since the days of Stockmarket Nigeria....I have learnt my lessons about people like Wale & Tony.

The funny thing is that almost 10+ after some of those analysis where made....these personalities have remained the same, and always taking advantage of shareholders. Look at UBA, Transcorp with all it's potential. I tell you, if Tony had his way the FX profit from UBA would dissappear into admin expenses. The issue he had with FO$ made him sit up a bit. Well, do I think he has changed? No!!!

Oando was every investors dream but, the man called WALE is.....I lack words to describe that family.

I agree with Sir Loco; only invest in Oando money you can afford to ignore.

You are too young.
You can sell your oando now and have peace of mind.
My Tasere oando will remain there till any good or bad news.
It is a game of 50 50.
But there was no bad news today to push it down.I believe the stock will be trading on any good or bad news on oando from now till February

Oando may trade below N10. But you can sell now (at round N11.50) and buy again when the price drops, but you may lose out if the price increases before you buy back.

Links from 6 years ago about Oando grin.

But Dahiru Mangal has been settled to the tune of $600m.

It remains a rumour(to me) of postponement of court hearing to Feb2024 until officially gazetted.
