Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar appeared not to be satisfied with the management of the American University of Nigeria, which he founded 19 years ago, regretting that the institution had yet to be on its feet as it ought. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/19-years-after-my-varsity-not-yet-standing-says-atiku/%3famp 13 Likes 5 Shares

Funds that he could have channeled into the university, he was busy spending it on politics, and still lost all through! Peter better learn from Atiku`s predicaments and channel his funds into cat-fish farming, instead of showing-up again in 2027 and 2031. 127 Likes 9 Shares |

He should run it himself. If he can’t handle its affairs, how then will he create the Nigeria he promises? At least he has other successful ventures. I know a few people who graduated from the school and are doing well in life. 20 Likes |

“After 19 years, AUN ought to be able to stand on its feet. I have neither asked for nor received a kobo from you since inception and have no plans to do so in the future. All the investments that my friends and I have made and continue to make here are intended to see the university grow and serve humanity. 19 years is actually still young for a university. Regardless, he should devote more time to solving the problems since he clearly understands the issues. I think another problem could be the location of the university and the American tag in the university name in a mostly Muslim north. Check my signature for free stuffs! 39 Likes 1 Share |

Sundaland: No be franchise? Much like American University in Cairo (Egypt), American University of Beirut (Lebanon) and American University of Sharjah (UAE). His high profile $25 million University (ABTI American University) in Yola, plus the $8 million he paid to the American University in Washington DC for a direct license to use the franchise of the university (known as partnership and management consultancy by AU officials) is a critical reference to the investment profile of a public officer who did not seek bank loans to execute these gargantuan investments. When contacted about the nature of the deal with ABTI- American University, Washington DC-based AU’s Vice president for International Affairs Mr. Robert Pastor said that the $8 million figure claimed as the cost of doing business with ABTI-American University was “inaccurate” but refused to reveal the exact cost of the partnership and management consultancy with Atiku’s high profile college which he bragged was the best in Africa after 11/2 years of operation, he said that the exact cost of the partnership was confidential.Source: https://saharareporters.com/2007/02/20/vice-president-atikus-burden-corruption Atiku's been pulling the wool over the eyes of Nigerians since 1850. 16 Likes |

Atiku founded the university in 2004, he was the Vice.president from 1999-2007. Yet, the Nigerian state didn't budge. We are not a serious entity like China. 37 Likes 2 Shares |

Unfortunately, as I have been told, some see AUN the way some Nigerians see public institutions – as a place they take from but not to put in. Well, that’s a mistake as you thief from nigeria, your staff dey thief from you enjoy the society you helped create 27 Likes 2 Shares |
