Ahahahahahaha grin This is how a country with strong institutions should work. Obi just said, the timing is wrong. People are going through difficulties. All these ones here on nairaland shouting upandan supporting further demolition have no single block or nail in Lagos land and they're even at the edge of dying of hunger and poverty, so they want every destroyed before dying. Why now? We've had several governments before, notin of such. Go to Opebi, since i come Lagos na so so flood year in year out aling the road. Do they block any canal there? Let the poor breath o kiss

Tribalism is a disease.

A state high court or any other court don't have any power to stop the Federal Government proposed plans. Even the state lands belong to the Federal Government

In reality, I doubt in, more so, it is only a delay tactic, you Claim the Federal Government sold land to you, then you take them to a state court?

Common sense is lacking. The man who went to court is even Yoruba.

And to think everything I read there has no igbo written in all the court injunctions.

However, this has shown that tribalism and poverty mixed with joblessness is the reason why people like u will talk like fools.

Tell us where they mentioned igbo there?

Many of u after school, still show burden of hate against others no wonder many of u have so many evil tormenting u because u see igbos as ur greatest threat to life.

To be serious, only God can stop the demolition. If the residents like, let them bribe the spirits, those houses on drainages, canals and unapproved buildings are going down!!!

Lagos is NOT a No man's land. It has laws and customs that MUST be followed.

Anyone that prefers choas and lawlessness can go to back to the south east, no lele

And for the "I'm Yoruba but..." people. Have you I.diots asked yourselves why these set of people did not protest when Soludo demolished buildings in Anambra in a bid to create a more orderly state but are protesting in your own state/region? Omo ales

Is it not the responsibility of government to stop building being erected on a land that perhaps may block flowing of water during raining season before such building is fully completed? If it is, then where were the government agency responsible for that is when such building was being constructed to the level that the building is ready to be occupied before demolition squad noticed it. If they are aware and allow the building to be fully completed before demolition, then, demolishing such building is an act of wickedness. If the owner of such building is aware that where such building is being erected constitute menace to the environment and still go ahead to erect the building, such developer should face the consequences of their actions; so as to serve as a deterrent to their likes. This is my humble opinion.

It is the responsibility of the governments all over the world to stop and prevent crimes, does that mean that despite their best efforts, crimes are not being committed?

That is the responsibility of the people and the government. Listen to warnings before you make your purchase. There is something called "due diligence" and there are entities/professionals that help with that if you are not into cutting corners and patronizing quacks to save some money. You are spending millions on a project, spend it wisely. Do your due diligence and don't opt to "settle the matter Naija way" when obvious issues are pointed out. Many of us have rejected purchase of properties that we are not comfortable with, government did not ask us to reject those questionable properties.

They did not protest cos soludo’s was not vindictive n against any tribe. If Lagos state was genuine about the demolitions, why have they not gone to munshin, Agege, ikotun egbe etc where we have thousands of useless yoruba structures built without plan? You go to Igbo dominated areas n you expect igbos to keep quiet? Una dey ment….

Today, Tinubu is demolishing 1000 houses in Abule Ado, just three years after the bombing.

Now, we know those behind the bombing that killed so many in Abule Ado, destroying Igbo homes and businesses.
