Satan has hypnotized him into sitting on the fence yet he feels he's better than others.

Satan's target is stopping mankind from doing God's will which Jesus emphasized as the only means to salvation {Matthew 7:21-23} most people have formed religious groups but Satan is using them as tools to blindfold others because all their devotion has nothing to do with God's will! 2Timothy 3:5

What is God's will?

God wants obedient mankind to fill the earth and make the best use of the planet He gave us {Genesis 1:28} that's God's will for humans.
Today Satan and his demons have created lots of devices to create enmity among humans so that we willingly build destructive weapons to kill ourselves {Revelations 6:3-4 compare to John 8:44} yet most killers think they're doing it for God the most painful part of it is how Satan recruited billions {Matthew 13:25} who are claiming they belong to the Prince of Peace (Jesus Christ) yet they're frontiers in the killing of their neighbours all in the name of Nationalism! 2Corinthians 4:4

So people like sonmvayina is dead spiritually speaking as he's of the opinion that each individual should study the Bible in isolation and come up with fine attributes without having to deliberate with other neighbours on how to live by what we got from the book. To him religion is unwarranted but how can people reason alike if they don't come together to study God's word? Hebrews 10:24-25

Is it possible for 5 scholars to study the same material and come up with something tangible without having to consult one another?
