I'm not sure you can survive in business or manage a brand. In business you need to be patient and put your brand before your personal wishes. Have you ever heard mtn customer care insult anyone even if the customer is hurling insults at them? Run your business like a pro and not like a local person

Moreover, you could have followed up on your proposal too. That's how you know if he still has a plan or he has moved on. Still, he can refer you to others depending on his reason for backing out. Lack of funds for instance. In this case, you could have offered that he pay by instalments depending on your assessment.

A serious potential client will not just say I will get back to you after seeing quotes. Rather, he will analyze it and ask for some concessions, get the concessions and then say I will get back to you once I am ready to kickoff the project.
