Ibime: Why should I sell you GEJ when I no dey support am or PDP...But you absolving your man Buhari,APC for this inflation mess won't fly... Here his your man's time as petroleum trust Fraud Chairman which enticed you under general abacha Part of the report disclosed that the sum of N26 billion was mismanaged by the company contracted by the PTF as management and project consultant when Buhari was the chairman. Recall that then Gen. Muhammadu Buhari was appointed the Chairman of the PTF by late Military Head of State and dictator Lt. Gen. Sani Abacha, whom he had absolved of any corruption allegations despite the infamous ‘Abacha loot’ being repatriated by the Swiss government under this administration. 10 Likes 1 Share |

Ibime:My understanding of economics is very pedestrian, whilst I agree with oil revenue playing a major part in determining Naira strength, the failure of Buhari govt policies and decisions cannot be overlooked - especially when we take into account the growth in diaspora remittances. Besides, oil prices have since recovered in the last 2yrs but we as still massively borrowing, and if Buhari had implemented gas policy we would have made massive killing during the recent energy crisis. 11 Likes |

Amigoss: If N26bln was mismanaged and PTF still achieved what it did then it shows how much is being mismanaged by those with 30 times the budget who don't achieve anything. I won't argue with you whether money was stolen because money is always stolen, but the projects you achieve with your budget will show to what extent money was stolen compared to others. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Ibime: Ibime: It comes up in personal discussions.there is corruption in lagos. Yet somehow, there is progress. Measurable progress. Progress that actually improves peoples lives. There is a link bridge being built that will link amuwo to apapa oshodi expressway and orile. Once that bridge is done, I can literally leave my home and be in oshodi in 20 minutes. Same for Apapa. This will improve the lives of everyone in that axis. It will eliminate the hour plus lost in mile 2 every morning. And it will eliminate the traffic robberies for the same reason. Investment in initiatives that will actually make lives easier - not just mindless chop money. Also You cannot make up a well done ptf road. Or proper functioning equipment and supplies, not rubbish that fails in two months. And people will remember these things. This is what Ibime is talking about. We already know money will be stole. It is inevitable. The question is what is done with the money not stolen? What is the performance record? That is what sold people on Buhari. The man would have been good as a works minister in an era of abundance, but that is a story for another day. 4 Likes |

Olowunl01: Oil price may have recovered but the hole is already dug and the reserves are already depleted by years of low price. It's just like your personal finances. If you dig hole, it will take as many years to fill the hole as it took to dig the hole. Oil revenue also has two elements - Price and volume. My faulting of Buhari is actually in his rough handling of Tompolo and co that affected sales volumes. I will accept that as Buharis impact on inflation 1 Like |

Ibime is not celebrating Buharis achievements as president of Nigeria. He is talking about Buharis achievements as petroleum minister and ptf chairman. Things that he witnessed and experienced directly. Not white elephant airport projects but actual initatives that delivered. Ibime is stone cold and sometimes morally flexible. his stance is simple - Buhari added value as ptf chairman and as petroleum minister. He ultimately did not add value as president, because he was unwilling to adopt belt tightening reforms and also because he went after poorly thought out projects of dubious value 3 Likes |

Of course glorious gbola who still supports this wicked party called the APC would try to minimize the catastrophic destruction Buhari brought upon our country that has now set us back many years. Trying to lighten the failure of buhari while simultaneously supporting the current EVEN WORSE present administration. Y'all, don't allow yourselves to be deceived by these bad partisan agents who consistently rationalize the evil of these men and try to whitewash their sins. They don't mean well for us. They don't mean well for this country. Some of us have been victims of their brainwashing before. DONT FALL FOR IT AGAIN! keep your eyes on the lookout for further gaslighting tactics. Making you question the reality of your own experiences. DONT FALL FOR IT! 14 Likes 2 Shares |

GloriousGbola: That's just it. Buhari failed woefully by trying to make a name for himself with poorly conceived infrastructure projects when we didn't have the money. He is at best a good works minister in times of abundance. OBJ remains my favourite President because he did what the times demanded. He allowed our infrastructure go to waste but that's because he had debts to clear. And when he got debt forgiveness, he set up solid savings to protect our future Jonathan was the biggest waste of space., a President who ate through everything including all our rainy day fund in a time of extreme abundance, and left nothing to show for it. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Ibime: Nah Chief - add his failure to take a serious stand on security issues affected our agriculture and other failed policies contributed to food inflation, which is the one that hits the common man more. Borrowing to defend the Naira nko? So even if Tinubu term oil increase and volumes are up, no be gbese we go use am pay? His policies and decisions contributed more, not just oil price decline, if not after 2/3 years of oil price recovery we suppose to dey see some rays of sunshine, instead from your own admission it is gonna get worse before it's get better... 10 Likes |

CAPdan21: I thought by now you would have grown up. But you are still a child pursuing childish things. like so many of the clowns you run around with planning is alien to you. Ensuring I have my energy for the week or month planned out is something I will always be proud of. It is people like you who will chase remote job and then start telling client I don't have data, I don't have power. I actually know clowns like you in real life. The only thing one can rely on them for is excuses. It is also why you and so many of your fellow clowns can only cry like small children. Because planning and preparing is alien to you and all you can ever do is react. Anyone with a modicum of sense would have known that these days would come. Our income has dropped but you somehow think our lifestyle will remain the same Also - your precious Peter obi also said he would remove subsidy. Or you are too simple minded and emotional to understand the implications of that. Or you think he will make an empty speech about production and everything will be alright? 4 Likes |

Ibime: Obj sold the bloody refineries. A knowledgeable poster I follow said he should have sold them at the start of his second term. Selling at the end of his second term was a ultimately a bad decision as yardua reversed the sale. If he had done it at the start of his second term, it would have been a fait accompli and we would have put the whole refinery TAM nonsense behind us. And the refineries would have been working or repurposed. 1 Like |

Olowunl01: You don't borrow into your reserves. Your reserves are a function of your trade earnings. Which is why Tinubu Afrimex deal raised eyebrows as it's very unconventional, using backdoor to achieve the same goal. Tinubu was virtually doing a version of Barcelona levers - selling NNPC future revenue for money today |

It is not known to this column how close Brigadier Sani Abacha was to Major General Muhammadu Buhari by December 1983. It was Abacha who announced at the end of a few minutes of martial music on new year’s eve that the government of President Shehu Shagari had been thrown into the dust bin of history. Buhari became the fulcrum of that history as Nigeria’s head of state. On August 27, 1985, there was another game, the Revolving Doors’ game. Buhari was out, thrown out, while Ibrahim Babangida, was in, thrown into the pinnacle of political power in Nigeria. Babangida clamped Buhari into the dungeon for some months where he cooled his feet, while his colleagues were bestriding the Nigerian political and military firmament like they owned the world. Babangida left or was forced to leave the throne after eight years of dangerous foot work. He called Chief Ernest Shonekan, a successful private sector entrepreneur, to come and take the baton of leadership. https://guardian.ng/opinion/petroleum-trust-fraud/ The above is a summary of Buhari's time as the PTF chairman. Make of it whatever u will. If u think it was a wise decision to reward the person described in the article with 8 years at helms of affairs of this country u are right. If u think it was an unwise decision, u are also right. One thing that is constant here is : Buhari is the same yesterday, today and forever! PS: The author of the article is a 75 year old Journalist who lived through the PTF era 6 Likes 2 Shares |

I swear APC propaganda machine is unparalleled in Africa. They had millions of innocent nigerians believing that the fool Buhari would actually make a good leader. That propaganda machinery needs to be studied deeply. My only anger is the "intelligent ones" who still actively support the rubbish party. Heartless individuals, many of whom are not with us right here to feel the pinch of this gross mismanagement of our lives and can afford the luxury of being sooo far away while supporting these nonsenses. That is by definition being WICKED and EVIL! Those are who we call WICKED ABROADIANS. 13 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: "All southern states had 4,440.43 kilometres of roads rehabilitated (24%) while states in the north had 13,870.47 kilometres rehabilitated (76%)." BlueRaydick, how many kilometres of Road did Jonathan do with 30 times the budget 200km from Lagos-Ore-Benin, Jonathan couldn't rehabilitate with gazillions more money Yet one tribalist will start looking for problem in 4,440km of Southern roads Buhari built compared to 14,000km in North, as if na today things will favour ruling tribe in Nigeria I read this tribal hatchet job at the time, which only highlighted the evidence of the difference between both candidates BTW does North road need gutters and suffer from heavy rainfall as South? The money to achieve the same km of road in Bayelsa and Kano can be 5 to 1 because of drainage. What is the landmass of North compared to South? Why will they have same km? Buhari performance with PTF we all saw with our eyes. Nobody will tell you lamba when PTF bus is picking you up from Federal Government College everyday 6 Likes 1 Share |

BlueRayDick: I'm not debating the wrong person. Na una dey ask me why I chose Buhari over Jonathan and na you dey provide the evidence How many kilometres of Road did Jonathan build? Let me shock you, PTF budget over the 4 years was only N144bln, and you just listed out what N144bln achieved. In dollar terms (blackmarket) then, that whole budget is less than $2bln. Even going by official rate, it was less than $7bln Na una dey write article to disparage PTF work, na una dey still highlight the achievement unwittingly. PTF na something we see korokoro everyday, even with that small budget. 6 Likes |
