But the issue still remains why the excessive thirst for cash? Why can't people just use mobile or e-platforms?? Yes, it's your money, but cashless is the way to go in line with best practices globally. For instance I can't understand what someone is doing with 200k in cash 3 Likes |

A customer, Mrs Toyin Alade, said ”I came to Access Bank and First Bank branches in Alagbaka to collect N200,000 but I could not do so.” Is madam Alade a POS operator?? Or she's taking it to the village?? Cus I can't understand why such amount in cash |

Truth be told...who needs 100k cash to be carrying up and down...ask yourself...when last did you really have to hold 10k cash at hand.... almost everything in this life today can be paid via transfer except transport (danfo) Can't remember the last time I held 20k cash in pocket for nothing...makes no sense... even when I want to withdraw it usually just around. 5k , maybe for suya or transport something But in general, transfer has taken over |

Some people no just get sense saying must you do cash. So if you be engr for site and you call labourers from Benin republic you go transfer give them? Why must access to cash be restricted? What stupid policy? There 1001 things money can do but with cash. Not everyone collect transfers. There are some shops that sell goods and refuse transfer especially petty traders. If you need money to give your children to school you will do transfer. If you wan pay bike man, you will do transfer. Una don mad all in the name of political support 3 Likes |

The country urgently needs a N2,000, N5,000 and N10,000 note. It is bewildering that a currency that is now a 4 digit currency has its highest denomination at only 1,000 which today is worth less than a $1. Government should not listen to the ignorant masses but apply best global practices on this issue. 1 Like |

AllDModsAreMaad:You are dumb , very dumb... I still maintain the stance of "I don't need much cash at hand" coz I purchase almost everything with transfer or my card. That why,I after I close shop for the day, I'm always eager to deposit any cash with me via POS , den just leave chicken change with me. I don't see the need carrying cash up and down, if I wanna pay for a PS5 , I pay via transfer, if I wanna buy a new phone , I pay via transfer... I don't see the need for raw cash Except you are doing pos business , you may need cash all the time ... na POS people like you dey full bank nowadays 2 Likes |

Yugoslavia247:Bro...stop this ...and be honest ... when last did you buy a commodity of let's say 50k, and the seller forced you to pay cash Even , some mama put dey collect transfer of #400 , beans 200 bread 200. Cashless and transfer is the way of life now, let embrace this new level. Except from danfo and transport level, I hardly need raw cash... no sane business man or woman who sells goods worth of 5k won't accept transfer or have POS in dia shop |

MasterTeeUSA:God bless you ...only a fool carries heavy cash carelessly now... If I close shop like this...any money wey dey my hand na to deposit straight...why should I be carrying let's say sales of 100k cash and be going home ... Some Nigerians like inviting trouble to themselves, they've made things so easy for you to the point , you don't even need to walk to a bank to open account... One can open acct via opay or moniepoint, still receive ATM card... Nigerians like doing themselves honestly |

The terrible thing is that it is not only naira. Someone that traveled few days ago could not get money from her domiciliary account. Her own money, money she paid into her account in cash. Bank said no pounds! After all the wahala, someone with over 10k pounds in dom account could only get 2k in piece meals from different branches! She had to buy from blackmarket! Her own money ohh! Had that happend to me, hell wound have fallen! |

Everything that is happening in Nigeria is happening for the regigging of this country. It's a sign for the people for the first time in their life to man up and take charge but still, it won't happen because the people has been subtly suppressed and they work around like zombies with no aim and purpose. It's better to live in North Korea where the government is the ultimate power and no freedom of living than to live in Nigeria. |
