It looks like you're trying to DIY some part of your solar setup. Solar can carry almost anything, just depends on your setup, but you need to know that setting up a solar system is not cheap. Your typical 3.5 kva generator won't carry most washing machines which need between 1.8-2.5 kWatts power, the same applies to your 3.5 kva solar inverter setup, but while your generator would cost say 350K, your inverter + solar setup could cost as much as 1.7M.

If you get decent electricity from the grid, would suggest doing inverter + batteries without solar; when there's electricity from grid, your batteries store charge for use when there's no light, but if you have do include solar, be ready to spend. Would advice powering essentials, but if you're an OBO like I suspect, then spare no expense, just ensure you get someone that knows what they're doing to help with installation.

I was going to post a reply to izzou before

There are two types of washing machine

Top loader
Front loader/automatic

A top loader machine electrical load is small. Not much more than an ox standing fan. The spin dryer may consume power in which case your best bet is to run only one at a time while on gen/ inverter

The front loader uses more power, though I cannot say just how much.

If you have a top loader you will be fine.

I have had the motor of my spin dryer burn at one time. The replacement motor was very small. Palm of hand small.

I bought chicken wings today, at half kilo box for a pound.

I also bought whole Tilapia at £8 a fish.

Both in the same shop.

Like our honorable mathematician said, Chao dey for every budget here.
Yea, I get the whole Chao for every budget thing, but the problem over here is getting something decent if you're at rock bottom.

Please delete the complete post. Some malicious little bitch arsehole will use it against you later. I guarantee it.

I've done that, although I felt it's not necessary. I always tell people about my past, if you use it to banter me or mock me I take it as a reason why I should never involve myself in such stuff.

Ah, this depends on the type of top loader sha...my previous top loader, worked fine with gen, but current one does washing without spinning...would advice he jettisonsns a washing machine altogether if his setup is less than 5kva.

Your intentions were sincere but we have some sick minds that would not allow you breath because of it.

Thank you for sharing anyways, hopefully, it inspired someone that read.

Like our honorable mathematician said, Chao dey for every budget here.

For a large and dynamic economy as that of England, £9 on a whole Tilapia and half kilo of chicken wings is somewhat on the high side. That’s almost 10k here.

With that amount, at least from my own experience, you can buy a whole tilapia and a full kilo of chicken wings down here and still have like 4k left with you.

I suppose both countries domestic fish/chicken production has got telling effects on the differing prices.

It is only in Nigeria people want to pray success into reality while assiduously threading on the path of failure .

Someone will say Nigeria will be great again, God bless Nigeria , “Nigeria si madun “, This administration will favor me as my family … etc but the government is putting in so much work to ensure any of these do not happen by wasting tax payers money and funds we borrow from international financial institutions on frivolities .

I remember during the campaigns when Tinubu was on a capping spree, he said “ Climate change is the west’s problem not Nigeria’s “. That was when he made that statement about Church rat eating holy communion . Raumdeuter in particular defended that position here vigorously .

Today Tinubu is president and he’s leading a delegation of over 1000 people to a climate change summit all on tax payers funds . APC are jumping pass the news like say it’s not worth talking about . I won’t be surprised if anybody asks “ what wil Obi have done differently ? Do u think he won’t go with delegates too ? Is Obi going to use his personal funds to fianance the trip if he was the president ? “

Even the so called low cost of living which used to be the major defense against poor earnings in the country is now turning out to be a ruse. From the video that trended within the week, you can easily do more with 10 pounds in the UK than you will with 15k in the country.

Just yesterday the Lagos police Pro Ben was asking how people are coping with billings and im like you never see anything.

Meanwhile, from the comfort of his cozzy hotel room in Saudi Arabia, Ajuri was telling those of us battling with heat and mosquito bites in our houses to be patient with them

Chai!

Anyway, even if they don't waste it on travelling and other frivolities, they still won't use it on any thing that will impact positively on the populace. Anyhow you look it, it's a lose lose situation for all of us who doesn't stand a chance of eating from the money. So make them ball dey go. My only issue is the heavy tax leaving my pocket since this administration came in.

I remember that argument very well. Maybe Tinubu went to collect the money he said they'd need pay him before he takes climate change serious...at least that's what Tinubu and Raumdeuter said during elections.
