Can You Answer This Question? by Techobeys: 7:47am On May 15, 2023 |
As part of my next project to release a new book later this month, I have been asking a question every day to see how broad we perceive life and the truth Question of the day: What does it mean when Jesus said: I beheld Satan as lightening fall from heaven - Luke 10:18 1. Satan had already fallen and Jesus experienced it before coming. 2. Jesus only saw it in a vision as something to happen soon. Choose an answer and tell us why you think your perspective is the truth. |

Jesus was talking about the future which is our time when the fulfillment of what God said will be done among Men of goodwill, the job jesus assigned to his disciples will go throughout the entire inhabited earth so what Satan said can't work will done in the gathering of imperfect humans then Satan will be ousted from heaven! 1 Like 1 Share |

MaxInDHouse: I agree with you when you say it’s future. It’s a prophesy of what will happen after he was dead. I just wanted to be sure whether you think Satan is already ousted now or is he still in heaven? |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by budaatum: 12:08am On Dec 03, 2023 |
Satan is inside the human just as their gods are. If I kill someone, I killed, and no satan made me kill anyone. What made me kill someone was my own ignorance, which made me choose evil over good. My ignorance may be due to a lack of good tutoring by my parents or in school, church, mosque, community, or I may have chosen not to learn. Blaming satan disempowers me, and is an attempt to not take responsibility for killing someone, which would ensure I do not stop killing because I will not hold myself responsible for and to change. |

Techobeys: I can't choose either of you answers because they are not mutually exclusive. 17 The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in your name.” 18 He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven". Verse 17 is context. The seventy-two returned and reported what had happened. And Jesus, in 18, says he saw as Satan fell as it was happening. Reading it 2000 years later however, and seeing how church has grown, one could claim it has been an instruction that some have undertaken to go out to teach the word so ignorance diminishes. So, sort of both your answer can be true, is my point. |

Techobeys:satan,in the context of that scripture refers to antagonistic religions(later referred to as the Antichrist) that were against the death and resurrection of Christ. Remember, he sent his disciples to go and preach and convert people from these religions. At the point the disciples came back rejoicing because they were converting souls to believe in Christ, that was when Jesus made the statement, i saw Satan falling... Meaning, other religions were falling. Examples of such religions were the Pharisees who never believed that Jesus was the Christ. And the Saducees who never believed in resurrection of the dead. This also is in line with Daniels vision. If you have read the book of Daniel about the statue Neduccadnezar fore saw, that a tiny stone(representing Jesus Christ) erupted among the segments(representing other religions). That the tiny stone struck the whole statue, such that they were carried away by the wind, and the stone grow to become a great mountain. Jesus explains that his kingdom like a mustard seed will grow to become a great tree such that fowls of the air from various places will come and take refuge on it There is nothing prophetic there and all these have nothing to do with the future, they are events that occurred at the time Jesus was about to be crucified 2000 years ago as stated in the bible |

Re: Can You Answer This Question? by paxonel(m): 12:43pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
Techobeys:the term fall from heaven was spoken metaphorically. It will take you to consider everything that happened during Jesus time on earth to understand that. That also mean, you will need to sit down and read the whole story. In the nutshell, the term fall from heaven does not implies anything falling from the sky. Rather, it literally implies the old covenant falling way, and paving way for the new covenant to be established. And the gospel of the kingdom which is the new covenant was the centre point of Jesus preaching that was assigned to his disciples at that time 1 Like 1 Share |

Re: Can You Answer This Question? by MaxInDHouse(m): 2:00pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
Techobeys: NO! Otherwise you may be wrong to think Jesus is the Christ. There's no verse in the Old Testament where it's stated that the Christ will be born at so and so date that's why some people rose among the Jews claiming they're the Christ before Jesus was born {Act 5:36-37 compare to John 10:8} and until now the Jews are still expecting another Christ as most of them don't believe in Jesus at all. But what helped Jesus' disciples to understand that this man from Nazareth is the true Christ? *He was born from the lineage of King David just as the scriptures foretold. *He preached about world peace without being racist. *He performed most of what God promised the Messiah will do when he begin his rule. *A prophet made preparation for his coming. *He was betrayed by 30 pieces of silver coin. *He was executed alongside criminals. *They cast lots over the only property he had. All these were the evidences gathered before his disciples were convinced beyond reasonable doubt that Jesus of Nazareth was the promised Messiah. So if some people said Jesus ousted Satan from heaven in the year 1914 are we to ask for where it was written in the Bible like the Jews are asking about Jesus until now or look out for evidences pointing to the fact that what Jesus said is now happening globally? John the baptist who prepared the way for Jesus sent his disciples to ask if Jesus is truly the Christ or another person is coming {Matthew 11:2-3} what was Jesus' reply? He only told John's disciples to go back and report what is happening! Matthew 11:4-6 Please instead of asking for where it was written in the scriptures pay attention to the evidence pointing to the fact that Satan has been ousted and concentrate on the events happening around the world today that's what Jesus encouraged John the baptist to do when he was bordered about what was disturbing the Christ from acting regarding his arrest and detention. May you have PEACE! 1 Like |

Techobeys:No, Rather, heaven is new covenant Luke 13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved?(enter the new covenant) And he said unto them, Luke 13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able. Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up,... The resurrection of Christ marks the entrance or gate of Giod's kingdom. It is what separates the new covenant from the old covenant |

paxonel: I can understand you’re not used to people genuinely telling you that they do not understand what you say. I’m sorry for putting you in such situations. The fact remains that I do not understand what you say and would like for you to be more explanatory about it. I know there’s been so much self in many people’s belief and I need to understand you before judging what you say |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by paxonel(m): 11:25pm On Dec 03, 2023 |
Techobeys:OK, Do you have any basic knowledge about the bible, concerning Jesus Christ and his resurrection or anything at all? For instance, Luke 10:17 And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. You can give me a brief of what you know about this scripture?, so that i will know where to fit in. Because, this whole thing I'm trying to explain to you is like a curriculum of some sort |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by Techobeys: 6:43am On Dec 04, 2023 |
paxonel: I do have biblical knowledge and by the grace of God, i can say I’m very vast in biblical knowledge but I do not understand how you seem to connect every of what you said. You lost me at some point. One of the reasons I’m a little bit confused about what you’re saying is because we see in the revelation that Satan truly fell from heaven after Jesus had reason—when the war in heaven happened after the son was caught up to the throne of heaven. So when you say Jesus was specifically talking about spreading the gospel, I do not know how to relate both ideas. |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by paxonel(m): 10:48am On Dec 04, 2023 |
Techobeys:I was terribly confused as well, until i began to be objective. Then i start to understand what the religion is truly driving at. The truth is, billions of Christians are reading the bible, yet they cannot see beyond the letters to understand what is there This explains why religionists are so vulnerable intellectually. Not that the bible wasn't intelligently written like I have explained, certain parts of the bible(including the book of revelation were metaphorically written. Jesus parables falls into that category. Some of the metaphors were outrightly interpreted. Examples are the parable of the mustard seed which was iliterally nterpreted as thus: Matthew 13:38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; Take note of how the interpretation was done : The field is this The good seed is that It's simple to understand. But meanwhile, there are vast metaphors like this in the bible that was never interpreted. Examples are metaphors found in the book of revelation such as Revelation 6:3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. The beast, the seal, and others such as black horse, wild insects, mark 666 etc, all represents something in the literal or real sense which were never interpreted. But when you have read the bible from Genesis to revelation, you will have a full understanding of what those animations or objects represents literally. The point is, it is far better to have the literal understanding and apply them to our president real world. The bible was written for us to understand, we were not created for the bible to confuse us. So, if you come across anything in the bible like Satan falling from the sky or any fictional events. Look for how that Satan or event is applied to reality. There is nothing like Satan or devil in the real sense. Whatever happens to us is a function of the decisions we have taken in the past |

Techobeys:So tell me, Have you ever seen devil or Satan in the real sense before? Tell me your experience |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by Techobeys: 11:23am On Mar 23 |
The fact that we don’t see something doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist physically. For example, scientists have speculated the physical existence of black holes even though we can’t see it. We’re not supposed to see Satan but that doesn’t mean he’s not here. paxonel: |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by paxonel(m): 11:41am On Mar 23 |
Techobeys:well, the only Satan that exist is the one Jesus described as a thief John 10:1 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber. No physical Satan anywhere, we are the architects of our misfortunes, not any Satan. Europeans have understood this a long time ago, that's why they took time to build their world, so that no one will have excuse. But we Africans are always giving excuses that it is one Satan or witchcraft or juju |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by Techobeys: 1:28pm On Mar 23 |
Yes we’re architects of our decisions and what we become is merely a culmination of our decisions but it’ll be a huge and unnecessary assumptions for you to think I didn’t already know this before saying that Satan exists. paxonel: |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by paxonel(m): 3:30pm On Mar 23 |
Techobeys:I know that you know this. I'm only saying that my opinion is based on this fact and scripture that you already know, and also that i have never seen Satan before |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by Techobeys: 4:47pm On Mar 23 |
Not being able to see a thing doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. Reflective thinking was why we arrived at the thought of black matters even though we can’t see any black matter paxonel: |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by paxonel(m): 12:20am On Mar 24 |
Techobeys:in this case, all human experiences have indicated that whether Devil exist or not, it's of no significance to humans alive, therefore it do not really exist. Unlike God who has a huge impact such as creating the air we breath, the clouds, the water and even humans exhibiting his image and likeness through intelligence but there are evidence that it has gravitational pool therefore it is a real matter even though it does not transmit light ? It therefore follows that the existence of black matter or whatever abstract entity, do not really apply to any analogy aiming at the existence of an insignificant devil or Satan. |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by Techobeys: 7:13am On Mar 24 |
I think your assumptions that the devil doesn’t affect life is not founded on justifiable reason. Of course, like God, devil has a compelling force on life, it just depends on whoever bends to it. I will ask you to go learn how the devil operates because ignorance of Satan’s means and pattern of operation will cost you a lot. Even the Bible mentions that we’re not ignorant of Satan’s devices because there are practical ways that Satan uses tricks to affects reality. paxonel: |
Re: Can You Answer This Question? by MaxInDHouse(m): 7:16am On Mar 24 |
The Devil is a real angel who rebelled against God unlike Jesus the angel who always please his father Satan chooses to oppose his father always that's why God is always proud of Jesus: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved. Listen to him.” Matthew 17:5 All spirit beings in heaven are God's sons: "When the morning stars joyfully cried out together, And all the sons of God began shouting in applause" Job 38:7 But the one and only spirit son of God that was transformed into human introduced to us as a teacher is Jesus Christ that's why God warned His worshipers not to listen to any other angel because none was sent as a teacher apart from Jesus: For example, to which one of the angels did God ever say: “You are my son; today I have become your father”? And again: “I will become his father, and he will become my son”? Hebrews 1:5 In this context God is not saying angels aren't His sons anymore but that He never introduced any of them to mankind as a teacher or role model apart from the first angel or firstborn: But when He again brings his Firstborn into the inhabited earth, He says: “And let all of God’s angels do obeisance to him" Hebrews 1:6 The word obeisance means to OBEY someone so all intelligent living creatures must obey God's Son whom He introduced {Philippians 2:10} that is if they want to continue living {John 3:16} so both in heaven and on earth all intelligent living creatures must obey Jesus! 1Corinthians 15:27 |
