.....Media Aides had issued clarifications but its no essence sharing it, coz we choose what we believe.

Wike, Education and Defence Ministers are on the same list, yet they are in Abuja. Dangote, Samad, Elumelu and other business Moguls are on the same list, were they sponsored by FG too?!

Reno is a verified idiot. I blocked him on twitter and muted every possible word in his name to avoid seeing his brain dead opinion on issues.

So if Nigeria is not paying for all delegates, does it change the fact that Nigeria is bearing the cost of 590 delegates with flight cost of 1bn? Add the hotel cost, allowances plus their usual loot and the total expense can easily run into 2bn.

Instead of talking about the substance of people's complaints, he's chasing shadows.

The Malawian president that refused to go and cancelled all international travels. Does he have two heads?

.....I expect them to release the actual number sponsored by the FG, cos its definitely a waste of our resources, if indeed all 1411 are sponsored by FG.

I share same view as Ìyìn, Media Aides should shed more light, coz we ain't sure of numbers yet.

Of the 1,411 delegates, 590 were sponsored to attend the conference by the Nigerian government which is currently battling with record inflation, an out-of-control exchange rate, a ballooning debt profile, and millions of its citizens sliding into poverty. The total to-and-from flight ticket for the 590 delegates is estimated at N885 million

I actually agree with your conclusion. It is your calculation that I didn’t agree with. Anyway we cut it, it is more expensive for the Nigeria-based guy.

this is the list

please note the following:
i know you understand the meaning of the word provisionsal

secondly - if you filter the list you will find that ceos of several business organizations are also there

what you can say is over a 1000 nigerians are registered to attend

this does not translate to over a 1000 nigerians are sponsored by the FG

do you think all americans going there are sponsored by the government?

do you undertsnd that in business terms this is also a networking event and by that it will draw several attendees

it is held in dubai the worlds biggest playground, a place where nigerians love going on holiday on the regular.

Toke makinwa is there under 'NGO'. does that translate to the FG?

Dangote is there. do you believe the FG sponsored Dangote?
wale Tinubu is there . do you think FG sponsored him s well?

in fact i am certain that executives in nigerias oil and gas industry is there - as this is a forum on climate change

It is only in Nigeria people want to pray success into reality while assiduously threading on the path of failure .

Someone will say Nigeria will be great again, God bless Nigeria , “Nigeria si madun “, This administration will favor me as my family … etc but the government is putting in so much work to ensure any of these do not happen by wasting tax payers money and funds we borrow from international financial institutions on frivolities .

I remember during the campaigns when Tinubu was on a capping spree, he said “ Climate change is the west’s problem not Nigeria’s “. That was when he made that statement about Church rat eating holy communion . Ramdeuter in particular defended that position here vigorously .

Today Tinubu is president and he’s leading a delegation of over 1000 people to a climate change summit all on tax payers funds . APC are jumping pass the news like say it’s not worth talking about . I won’t be surprised if anybody asks “ what wil Obi have done differently ? Do u think he won’t go with delegates too ? Is Obi going to use his personal funds to fianance the trip if he was the president ? “

We never ready for this country sha

The world is shouting climate change and want Africa to play a role, so won't it make sense for us to attend and present to them what we need to be climate change compliant?

Help us with our debt then we can do climate change

charles soludo is there
people from Bayelsa govt house are there

the first and foremost question is how many people are there on the FG's dime

I remember that argument very well. Maybe Tinubu went to collect the money he said they'd need pay him before he takes climate change serious...at least that's what Tinubu and Raudeuter said during elections.

Tell me that's not a reasonable move.

Everyone is shouting climate change, so we should not attend? We need money and th3se climate change people are gathering

It's like they call a landlord association that everyone should change to solar in the estate, you wey get many debt and responsibility won't you show up and tell them that I get these and that challenges before I can think of solar project, if you are willing to help me with them then we can discuss solar

This is so easy men, except for those who just want to criticize for the sake of it

Is this not my position and that of Tinubu when the climate change question was posed?

Some countries have money to throw around to chase climate change and are asking us to comply

A reasonable leader will negotiate what will you do for me

But it doesn't feed into agenda it's better to say we shouldn't attend
