So Bini now pass through Ore, Ijebu-Ode and Sagamu to claim land in far away land ?

Why is there no single heritage or houses that belongs to Bini in Lagos

Why is Ife empire spread from that Ife to all over Yoruba land and Bini the greatest empire that time couldn't conquer the Ore rather they only conquer Lagos 😂😀😀🤣

Only IPOB are getting carried away by this oral proclamation without any prove.

All in all, Yoruba are now the land sellers in Lagos and their is nothing any IPOB or Binin can do about.
Whatever story you have doesn't matter bcs even the Binin are using Oba as king and no Lagos Oba using anything that has to do with Edo kingdom.

Forget the nonsense story. Lagos na our own.

You must be a numskull.

The woman herself says she's of Benin lineage. There are others too.

She didn't claim that Benin founded all parts of Lagos.

All these stories are trash. Nobody has denied Aworis were from Ife but the question is, when the Benin migrant came, were the natives not there?. I ask again, How did Yorubas chase benins away from Lagos?, why is Yoruba language and culture predominate in Lagos?, why are the Yoruba the land owners in Lagos?, why are they the ones selling land in Lagos?, How many benin have a family house in Lagos?. These are my questions i want benin people to answer, otherwise, everything na empty noise.
i am looking for the historical account of how Yoruba chased Benin out of Lagos, pls, anyone with the document shotld send me a link.
We are talking about things that happened 100's of years ago. Nobody is saying that the Binis own Lagos today. Think of it like this, the British founded many nations as part of the British Empire, does that mean Britain owns those places today? Did Britain not found Nigeria? Were not already people living in this land mass called Nigeira? Yet the British took charge and made all the different kingdoms and Emmirates pay homage to them and created a New country 'Nigeria'. Today how many British people own houses in Lagos?
We should learn to understand history without emotion.

The British did not found Nigeria. We have had our independent societies centuries before the British.

It seems a lot of people knows the truth
The truth is the Yoruba >>>>>>Benin..
Yorubas expanded all the way from Ife to all over west Africa. Benin instead shrunk and never expanded. Benin language is only spoken in Benin, they worship Yoruba gods too. Their royal line was started by a Yoruba man. They met Aworis all over Lagos. The tiny region they occupied for a while in Lagos is an extremely tiny faction that they also could not hold for long. Ashipa is a Yoruba man.

No amount of revisionist will alter the truth.

And you didn't see the owned in parenthesis?.

By the way, that's how vanguard reported.

Apparently you didn't read the interview, you're only here to run around.

The woman said it's not all parts of Lagos.

She said she's of Benin lineage.

The owned is in parenthesis.

Stop telling lies as it please you. I'm neither Yoruba nor Benin, but I think this issue of Yoruba starting Benin Royal lineage has been over discussed and Benin people refuted that claim

Lagos, Nigeria, has a rich and complex history, with multiple groups inhabiting the area over the centuries. The earliest known inhabitants of Lagos were the Awori people, who are a subgroup of the Yoruba people. The Awori settled in the area in the 15th century and established a kingdom called Eko.

In the 16th century, the Benin Empire conquered Eko and established their own rule over the city. The Benin influence was significant, and many aspects of Lagos culture, such as language and art, still reflect Benin heritage.

In the 17th century, the Portuguese arrived in Lagos and established a trading post. The Portuguese presence had a profound impact on Lagos, introducing new goods and ideas to the city.

In the 19th century, the British took control of Lagos. The British ruled Lagos for over a century, and their influence is still evident in the city's architecture and infrastructure.

Today, Lagos is a multicultural city with a population of over 20 million people. The city is home to people from all over Nigeria, as well as from other parts of Africa and the world.

So, who are the original owners of Lagos Nigeria? The answer is not simple, as the city has been home to many different groups of people over the centuries. However, the Awori people are the earliest known inhabitants of Lagos, and their influence is still felt in the city today.

Oba Eweka 1 of Benin and all subsequent Obas of Benin were Yoruba.
The first king of Lagos was a Yoruba man from Benin who met the Aworis who were also Yorubas.

History cannot be twisted because you want to cheat the Ogiamien family who fortunately, has evidence with them.

Yoruba founded a part of Benin that uses Oba....Ogiamien of Benin..

https://www.google.com/amp/s/guardian.ng/features/ogiso-and-ogiamien-are-aborigine-binis-while-oba-of-benin-is-of-yoruba-descent-high-chief-esotericist-monday-wehere/amp

[b]High Chief Esotericist Monday Wehere, JP explained further: “What is today known as Benin Kingdom started as Igodomigodo nine centuries ago. It was founded by Ogiso Igodo and it existed for 300 years before King Orominyan of Ife invaded Benin. During that invasion, Orominyan fought without any success. Before then, Orominyan came to Benin with a strategy. He brought a large number of Yoruba men into Benin long before the proper expedition. These men went into relationships with our daughters who started having children for them. By the time Orominyan came to attack Benin in 11th Century, the number of the Yoruba-born children was high. In spite of this, however, he still failed in his attack.

When Orominyan was returning to Ile-Ife without achieving his aim, as one of the strategies they invented, he deliberately impregnated a princess, the daughter of an “Enigie” – duke or king in Benin under the then Ogiso. The princess’ name was Elimide. He left her behind before returning to Ife. It was Princess Elimide that gave birth to the first Oba of Benin, Oba Eweka 1, who, after becoming an adult, was invited back to Ile-Ife, alongside other children they had secretly produced through our daughters without our knowing their game-plan.

Up till today, they still live in a place called Yoruba Quarters in Benin City. It was at that Ile-Ife meeting, which had Eweka in attendance that these children were told the reasons they were given birth to in Benin, that it was Oba Orominyan’s desire to use them to overthrow the then Ogiso Erebo and his dynasty, which was then known as Igodomigodo. They were all made to swear to an oath never to betray Eweka, who was to become the Oba of Benin, if they eventually succeeded.

Expectedly, this particular war was protracted as many people died on both sides. The carnage was much. It was, however, difficult for the then Ogiso to use extra force, as he felt his grandchildren were being used in the war. He kept saying the children being used by the Oba to prosecute his war were children of Benin daughters, even though they were now supporting their father’s side to fight the Ogiso.

It was at this point a truce was called. As there were no victor and no vanquished, Ogiso Erebo was told there was no way this large number of children born by Benin women for Yoruba men could be repatriated, since they had already been integrated into the heart of Igodomigodo. He was told the only way to maintain peace was for him to divide Igodomigodo into two kingdoms. Let the oba take a part, while he would hold on to the other part.

Thank you jare Erelu. Agba ko ni tan lorilę Its appalling how people can distort history, even in the face of realities. They've altered Wikipedia several times to suit their lies since the Oba had set the record straight, for whatever reasons.

I think why they had not attacked oba akiolu who once came to speak the truth was because he's too strong for them. You cannot distort history for political reasons. It's just like saying fulanis owned ilorin, no be craze be that? Yorubas owned and still owns ilorin, same as Lagos. Binis can't lay claim on ownership of the current lagos state. It's yorubaland till the end of time but that doesn't mean history would be turned upside down. The so called balogun of lagos, by the name Oshodi should tell us the truth, how his great grandfather coined Oshodin, an edo word to mean Oshodi just to seek relevance and ownership of lagos, same way the Dosunmu family claimed they owned lagos by changing Docemo to Dosunmu whats the meaning of Docemo or dosunmu, a white man's name or oshodin( oshodi) an edo word in yoruba?

They altered wiki almost every minute , haba! They even said Iga means gaa in yoruba grin. How is that related? Iga, idumagbo, idumota, idungantan, Eko, etc, are all edo words. Nobody is obtaining a trophy on top of this so everyone should rest.

I remember them saying tinubu hails from Lagos, despite the obvious. Ki lęfę fi gbogbo iyęn she? Even the pa jakande's family we belong isn't from lagos. We were originally from Igbomina in kwara. We won't lie on top of that cos the history is there. My granddad hailed from akoko side, a yoruba speaking town of northern part of edo state, just less than 2 miles away from isua akoko. I can't come out tomorrow to vie for any political office in lagos and lie, neither would i do same
Should edo people say make i come be governor. I can only claim to be from lagos by the virtue of birth and the fact that mama is from baba jakande's side.

Check all these liars stressing themselves on top of nothing, they're not indigenous people of Lagos.Make una rest abeg.
