I laugh when I read posts on this forum where Nigerians are advised to respect their hosts in any part of the country where they find themselves.

No Nigerian has the right under the constitution to demand for special status or respect as a host from other Nigerians or to treat other Nigerians as visitors in any part of Nigeria.
Every Nigerian has equal rights as Nigerians and privileges under the constitution as other Nigerians irrespective of the part of Nigeria they come from or find themselves.

All lands in Nigeria belongs to the federal Republic of Nigeria, all the mineral resources found in land, under the land and sea belongs to the federal Republic of Nigeria
all revenues generated in every part of Nigeria are pulled into a central account of the federal government and distributed to all the states of the Federation irrespective of the amount contributed by each state....this means revenue generated in Gusau; Zamfara state will be used to provide infrastructure or for the benefits of Nigerians in Anambra state and revenue generated from Anambra will be used to provide infrastructure and for the benefits of Nigerians in Lagos state.

Until Nigeria amends its current constitution, No Nigerian is a host to other Nigerians or a guest in any part of Nigeria, any other thing aside this amounts to illegality, unconstitutionality and unlawful
Just make sure you get your land and approvals for your businesses from the federal government or any of it's agencies as a Nigerian and you are good for eternity.

Don't mind jobless mad people

When people can't compete and are seeing more competent people eating deep into their supposed tribal environment, they react with tribal hate, and please don't blame them, feel pity for them because they are losing it all.

It's baffling to know that some people are holding on to things they don't own lawfully. How can some uninformed people claim to own a certain part of the country when they don't have any right constitutionally confered on them to own any part of the country.

Go to school shinadu, but you insisted on selling gala inside holdup and resorted to looking for engagement on Nairaland.

You are Nigerian and can engage in legal business anywhere in Nigeria, but that doesn't alter the fact that you are considered a visitor. State governments may grant special privileges to their indigenous people, and visitors like your grandfathers have limited influence over such decisions.

Also, every part of Nigeria is indeed part of the country, but state governments have authority over those "lands" and can take action, including evicting you, especially if you don't obey and respect them as a 'host.'

Therefore, before assuming entitlements to anything outside your state of origin, ensure that the jurisdiction falls under your federal government. Even the federal government occasionally recognizes only the indigenes of a state when conducting requirements for certain bodies. And does Federal government even care about you people?

Another chest beating self-delusion. Land belongs to the states, no federal government. And yes there are hosts everywhere. Otherwise you will contest to be the sultan of Sokoto after leaving Anambra in night bus to Sokoto. Stop this delusional chest beating. Nigeria is not unitary except when they are stealing the resources. Regional governments is best for Nigeria.

I just don't like to argue with those IPOBidients

They are just trouble makers with their Nzogbu Nzogbu mentality

They know how Pandora Obituary evicted some people from Anambra state even though they are all igbos.
We see how Ebonyin nd Abia people rejected an Anambra man as their Mayor yet you don't see them crying like dog then

Nothing you can say to them that will make them change their mind bcs they don't have leaders and they lack the courtesy that's. Why they always ready to grab others people land

Problem with ignorant people is that they always claim to know but you know nothing.

This are all from the 1999 constitution of the federal Republic of Nigeria

41. 1Every citizen of Nigeria is entitled to move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part
thereof, and no citizen of Nigeria shall be expelled from Nigeria or refused entry thereby or exit
therefrom.

42. 1 A citizen of Nigeria of a particular community, ethnic group, place of origin, sex, religion or political opinion shall not, by reason only that he is such a person:-
(a) be subjected either expressly by, or in the
practical application of, any law in force in
Nigeria or any executive or administrative action
of the government, to disabilities or restrictions
to which citizens of Nigeria of other
communities, ethnic groups, places of origin,
sex, religions or political opinions are not made
subject; or
(b) be accorded either expressly by, or in the
practical application of, any law in force in
Nigeria or any such executive or administrative action, any privilege or advantage that is not accorded to citizens of Nigeria of other
communities, ethnic groups, places of origin,
sex, religions or political opinions.

2. No citizen of Nigeria shall be subjected to any disability or deprivation merely by
reason of the circumstances of his birth.

3.Notwithstanding the foregoing provisions of this section, the entire property in and control of all minerals, mineral oils and natural gas in under or upon any land in
Nigeria or in, under or upon the territorial waters and the Exclusive Economic Zone
of Nigeria shall vest in the Government of the Federation and shall be managed in
such manner as may be prescribed by the National Assembly.

Any other constitution you have that goes contrary to the provisions of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is useless and of no effect.

Gala selling ignoramus

Have you and your grandfathers not been allowed to 'move freely throughout Nigeria and to reside in any part of Nigeria' regardless of your 'ethnic groups, places of origin, sex, religions, or political opinions'?

Were you ever stopped at the entrance of any state solely because you differ in the parameters listed above?

However, this doesn't change the fact that you are considered a visitor. If not for your status as a visitor, there wouldn't be a real need to entrench that in our constitution.

As mentioned earlier, any state government can evict you by revoking any form of occupancy rights given to you, your brothers, sisters, mummies and daddies if you don't obey and respect them as your hosts.

Don't quote me again with half-baked knowledge; instead, share it with your gala and rat poison selling brothers so they can have something to believe in to ignorantly boast online.

Let me ask again: Does any government, whether federal, state, or local, in any part of Nigeria, including your landlocked tiny states, care about you people?

Why do we have quota system?

Why do we have state and LG of origin?

Why do we have federal character?

Why do we have geopolitical zone?

Why do we have catchment area for admission?

Every Nigerian is an indigene and settler depending on what part of the country you are.

Those are not my opinion but the provisions of the constitution of the country. It's illegal for you to say a Nigerian is a visitor or a host in any part of Nigeria Nigerians have equal rights and equal privileges under the Nigerian law in any part of Nigeria....if you have a problem with that push for amendment of the constitution.
Let that sink in.

Any state law that is inconsistent with the provisions of the constitution will be thrown out.

Lands belong to state government...there are federal reserves for special needs and uses, but state government control land, federal control sea.

Why is it state government demolishing illegal structures and not federal?

By what you wrote there from the constitution, it states minerals and resources, not the land, state governors control all lands in a state... state are about to even have more powers now, especially with the clamour for reduction of power at the center.

All the things you mentioned are all considered to give equal opportunities to all Nigerians, they are done not to give advantage to any part of Nigeria above the other.

Federal character for example ensures that Nigerians are equally represented in all federal government establishments across the country.

Show me anywhere in the constitution where it states all land belongs to federal government?

The Governor of a state doesn't own any land neither does the state Government own any land.
The Governor holds the land in his state in trust for the people. The land doesn't belong to the Governor or the state...it's for Nigerians who are interested in land in that particular state!
