Work on your economy (Naira). Let's now compare the two. In as much as naira is still weak in the forex market, cost of living in UK is far better than Nigeria. In fact, what am I even saying. It an insult to UK to compare there economy to that of Nigeria. Stop defending suffering. It will not help you 4 Likes |

psalmsjob: See as agbadorians dey disgrace themselves upandan, next will be Nigeria has more comfortable people than US and UK to justify that Nigerians aren't suffering...evil people defending the devil. Common sense can't even tell you we live in different climes, different wage, different economic policies and different conditions, tell an average Nigerian and an average American to switch location with their current account balance and see who will live more comfortably, anyone with common sense knows an American will live like a king in Nigeria. 4 Likes

Is it that you don't have sense at all or you sacrificed your brain just as your fellow agbadorians did By UK's law, the minnimum wage is £10 per hour. Hence, a person working 8 hours per day for 4 weeks would earn at least £1,600 at the end of the month i.e. about #2,000,000 in today's exchange rate. Whereas in Nigeria, for the same length of work hours, Nigerian law can only provide you with N30,000 per month, that is not even a guaranty Despite, the huge difference in pay gap, commodity in Nigeria is virtually almost as expensive as the UK. Yet, you are here writing rubbish. Anyways, as I suspected; you have sacrificed your brain as food for your criminal master, Thief Tinubu. 5 Likes |

You lack basic economic intelligence. Go back to school or read some books to expand your knowledge. Have you considered the earning power and minimum wage of these countries? The standard of living, the provision of basic amenities etc. psalmsjob: 2 Likes |

It depends on what you refer to as cheap... In Nigeria, I earned 202k per month but after deductions and spendings and savings, I barely have 50k to myself.... Come to the UK.... I have a job that pays 400 pounds daily for 3 days a week..... After all deductions, I take home 308 pounds daily.... Thahs 3696 gbp per month... I pay rent 800....family up keep 500...bills 300...that's 1600...... I still have over 1600 left..... What about the cost of food? Bread is 85p Bus rides around where I live is 2 pounds no matter where you stop..... Chicken breast is 1 pound 82p.... Beer is 89p.... I buy my clothes in one pound shops... This means that, in the shop, any clothes you see are all sold for one pound.... And guess what... Most of them are brand new.... So in my opinion, life may be cheap in Nigeria but it's definitely better abroad.... 7 Likes 2 Shares |

When you guys are making these comparisons, always take into consideration that both economies are different. In the USA for example, the minimum wage is $7.25, that means, the lowest earners in the USA have to work 3 hours to make what the minimum wage earner makes in a month of working in Nigeria. Just using the power of the currencies alone. It cost more for someone making 30k naira a month to buy full for 675 naira per litre than it is for someone who makes $1200 a month in the USA. Also take into consideration that the government I the USA have various programs funded by tax payers that benefit the low income earners. Some get as much as $700 for food a month from the government. A lot have their housing subsidized by more than 90%, and in some cases, 100%. Schools, even the best schools up until time for college are free. So, even if you earn low, if your district falls on a grade a school, your children get to go to the same school as kids whose parents are millionaires. Never compare the living situation of low income Nigerians and that of low income Westerners. The difference is night and day. 5 Likes |

psalmsjob: This Op sef, you people need to stop comparing nonsense, it's way cheaper in the UK and that's the truth. How much is a pence to Nigerian naira? You can get a loaf of slice bread for 75pence in the UK. Sardine 45pence, evaporated milk 55 pence, whole chicken £1 pound 2 pence. The last spaghetti I bought was 0.75pence convert that to naira. |
