At the hearing of this news some urchins will be so excited... Without reasoning.

This is a country that is looking for where to borrow money is now sharing money..

Mr President sir, if you had Nigerians at heart at first. When you distributed #5b palliative to every state you wouldn't have done that..

Imagine #5billion by 36 states abi 37 States (with this recent court injunction concerning Abuja).
So as I was saying imagine #5billion by 36 states that is #180billion if I'm not mistaking.

How many are we in Nigeria?.
What is Nigeria population as of today?.

Now that you want to grant 50k to each Nigerians as palliative why didn't you sir granted that money as palliative by either direct wiring to every citizens through bvn or through online portal as you are doing now?

Can every state give account of what they did with that #5b palliative they shared?

Another means of rewarding APC louts that helped them snatch and run away with political power. The 5billion they shared I don't know of anyone that received a dime now they are about to dole out more cash to party faithfuls.

Instead of treating the injured head, the doctor is busy treating the uninjured leg. Isn't that foolishness. Intead of looking for a means to reduce the severe cost of living or make the cost of living an ease, the fools are busy doing the opposite. Does it change or reduce the high costing living? Does it make our dead Naira appreciate its value? How do these fools reason for crying out loud?

What makes you think those who really need the money will get it?

Based on past experiences of welfare & pallative schemes under the APC government, what guarantee do citizens have that these monies will be accounted for & not disbursed to majorly cronies & minions as done in recent times?

Will this proposed disbursements reduce prices of goods & services in the market?

The only business 50k can lift is all those mai gadi shops where one can buy biscuits, sweets and sachet alcohol. A bigger establishment and the sum is no different from toilet paper in relevance.

It is for nano business. This is what the undergraduate should watch out for : https://fellow.3mtt.training/

Nigeria is slow but they eventually get things done one way or the other. The grant is for nano business and youth on this forum should make use of the link above. Tinubu is not a magician and it's a pity our national orientation ministry is yet to serve it's objective. ✌️

This is a world bank supervised program. It can always be botched up. Government is not historically a great executor. Nevertheless CCT is a globally recognised way of injecting money into the economy with minimum inflation exposure.

Government ineptitude is no reason not to do the program. I believe this particular iteration will be more successful. If we get 70% disbursement to target, it will be good day.

It will not reduce prices of goods and services. But it will cause flows of capital at the bottom of the pyramid. This has large social stability consequences.

Tinubu's New Deal And The Knee-Jerk Reactions Of Hollow Men On Nairaland

He had planned for this a couple of months back. This is similar to what President Franklin Delano Roosevelt did from 1933, when he became President of the US. America was still grappling with the effects of The Great Depression from 1929.

In his New Deal, he pumped about 800 millon USD into the economy. People were able to get soft loans. Gradually, the economy, helped , in part, by production for WW2, picked up.

What the economy needs now is injection of funds so that people -small businesses and medium-scale ones alike-can get credit .

Before I responded, I didn't see any sensible or astute response on NL. It was the usual hollowness of naysayers, whose humdrum rants do no one any good.

If you feel, there better ways of managing the economy at this time, let's see ur proposal.
