Please, my soak away floor basement was leaking water, the floor was prepared laying nylon and pouring concrete before block setting (that's around March), we prepared 6 head pan of sharp sand, 4 pan of 3/4 down granite and 1 bag of cement, it was poured dried without water so as to soak up the water from the leakage while it blocked the leakage surface... But it failed...
What can I do or which chemicals can I use to stop the water leakage?

What should be the correct order after roofing especially if I want to suspend the project and do the remaining works gradually after some time?

I want to do one more stuff after roofing and divert my funds to another thing but I'm thinking of just putting the doors and windows but don't know if it makes sense.

Nothing is wrong in installing windows and doors but for the doors you need to Consider allowances for Plastering when putting the Door Frames. And the door type also matters. If is the regular type of frames you don't need the allowance but for HDF doors and Mahogany wood type of Doors the spaces needs to be put into consideration to allow the architraves sit well on the Frame

Your thoughts is in other, electrical wiring should be the last. Why, because of the sensitivity behind stealing cables. I hope they’ve not start removing doors and windows from incomplete buildings.

In fact, you understand my thoughts. I learnt they are stealing every stealable these days. Boys are not smiling. My hope is they can't steal installed doors and windows at least for now.

Although I don't know your location or what you want to use inside or if it's an engineer supervising for you, but I got a quote of 400k (complete with workmanship) for wiring 3 bedroom with visitors room. I'm supervising myself.

The price is fair enough, is like the technician did not make provision for water heater in all the bathrooms.

Also, how many AC's did he allowed for in each apartment cos the no of 4mm looks small compare to the number AC that suppose to be in a standard 2-bedroom flat. Normally 3nos. of AC to be in a standard 2-bedroom and the 4mm suppose to be for AC and cooker control unit.

Lost 3 Casement Window to Theft and Electrical Wires worth Over 2million Naira. All fittings were Damaged.

Go to market ahead and do a preliminary study of costs of materials.

Measure each window together with him and do the recordings. Some up all that would be needed.
Go to market and buy them yourself. Give them to him to use while you monitor it. Just build in like 7% waste into the aluminum material. Waste in other materials may not the up to that or could above that. Max 10% across board.

You see those artisans, they are ev.il.
They pad anything padable.

You would be surprised it will take you half of what he quoted.

Chemical injection would have been the best solution if its a concrete wall.
However there are other ways to solve this.

This is scary. I'll probably have to plaster after roofing instead of the doors and windows I intended to do initially. At least they can steal plaster

But if the Area is secured do it. Or try to get a security person to help look over it.

Ordinarily, when you go and buy the windows, without them installing it for you they have added profit element to it. They can’t sell it to you at cost. If they now add labour to it, assuming they are installing for you, it means they will make profit on materials and on labour.

This is what I’ll do when next I’m building. Aside from those things that you mentioned, you can also be sure of the materials and most importantly, ALL the aluminum fabricators that have worked in my builds reduced the actual measurements of the windows. All of them took the measurements themselves but they still went ahead to fabricate smaller sizes of windows. I specifically appealed to the guy that handled the windows of my duplex but na same same. We still used over 50 blocks for ‘shocking’.

yes it's possible, let put windows and doors, ask bricklayer to chock it with cement, so dat it will be sill, u can start the plastering anytime u want den, thanks

My best advice for u is to get quotes and compare sir, from there u will get where u are going, mind u no body want to do free work, those people u want to go and meet will still get there own too, and end of the day end up with more than ur budgets, there is no how u can gets it, the best is to find genuine person and do ur work with normal money thanks u,
