Same here. I submitted in vfs Abuja around that time and got the same message you got around the same 5th of December. Since then they’ve been quiet. I’ve called and emailed and done everything but they just keep saying it’s being processed. I don’t think it’s this slow for people that submitted in Lagos 🤔 Sireemmy5555: |

I’m just happy I’ve found someone with a similar experience. I thought my case was Percuilar and something was wrong. I have till 20th to update my school. I submitted since 27th of November. I don’t understand what exactly the issue is with affixing a visa to a passport page. This Canada can be so dramatic sometimes Sireemmy5555: |

This is making me so sad as I’m reading it. This is another evidence that we need capital punishment for these “travel agents and consultants”. Firing squad or electric chair. It’s also proof that Nigerians are 80% of the problem of this country, the leaders are just 10%. I really hope you find strength and start the process afresh. If you really want to relocate you’ll find a way especially as a student by God’s grace. It’s not your fault, it’s the agent’s. Please don’t blame yourself and just start afresh with all the info you get here opebajo11: |

Please, house I need your help, I applied to 3 schools and I'm planning to apply to the 4th one for falls intake but out of the schools I received update from CIMT but I'm not going there bc of the PGWP they don't have and the next school which is Holland sent me an update with student number but no admission yet. My questions are: Is there hope that Holland would give me admission since they have sent me student number or I should proceed by applying to 4th school bc I don't want to miss falls intake for 2024. I dont see people here talking about Holland, does it mean Holland isn't good enough or any issues I need to know please experts help me. Thank you @Frankrobbn1 and others |

Visa officers typically evaluate each application on its own merits, considering factors such as the purpose of the visit, ties to the home country, financial stability, and other relevant details. For study permits, the primary applicant (the person intending to study) must meet the eligibility criteria, including acceptance to a designated learning institution, proving financial capacity, and demonstrating ties to their home country. For SOWP, the spouse or common-law partner may be eligible to work in Canada while the other person studies, but again, the work permit application is evaluated based on individual eligibility, including proof of the relationship, the student's enrollment, and other requirements. It should be the family's decision! I hope this helps. Teejay2033: |

Your chance of getting admission to Holland College is still open. If you meet the minimum requirement, you can still proceed with the application. Meeting the minimum requirements typically means that you possess the necessary qualifications and credentials to be considered for admission to the college. Btycoon: |

I have followed through on your thread It seems the agent may have used a fake Letter of Acceptance (LOA) for the visa application; it is a Procedural Fairness Letter (PFL). This can result in a five-year ban. My advice for you is to try to get access to your IRCC portal for an update; they must have responded, but since you don't have access to your portal, the agent ghosted you. Alternatively, order your GCMS note. How to link your IRCC portal 1. Follow the steps to sign into your online account or create a new one. 2. In your account, under “View the applications you submitted," click on “Add (link) your application to your account to check your status”. 3. Enter the information exactly as you did on your original application. If you made updates after you applied, enter the most recent information. opebajo11: 2 Likes |

Danielmadu: When a primary applicant is going for 2 year program, during my application submission does he need to show proof of funds covering the entire two years living expenses or just for the first one year. The primary applicant is showing his bank Statements and a cousin Co-sponsor. I'm abit confused on this |

It's typically advisable to demonstrate that you have sufficient funds to cover the entire duration of your program. This helps establish that you can financially support yourself during your studies without becoming a burden on the host country's social assistance programs. I hope the co-sponsor is accompanying the applicant. If a co-sponsor is used and that co-sponsor is not accompanying the primary applicant and dependent, it might raise questions during the visa application process. Visa officers typically want to see a clear and direct relationship between the sponsor and the individuals for whom they are providing financial support. If the co-sponsor is not traveling with the family or dependents, the authorities may seek additional clarification on the nature of the sponsorship and the reasons for it. Daveconsult007: |

Frankrobbn1: Thank you for your response, boss. I apologize for the delayed in acknowledging your comment. I have not been online recently. The application was on behalf of a friend, not for myself. Despite not having seen her SOP, she submitted all other required documents. These include a study leave with pay, curriculum vitae (CV), and letters of introduction and recommendation. She, being an HR officer, secured admission for a Human Resources course in Canada so I don’t understand what the VO is saying. She is waiting for Notes sha |
