If your uncle is supporting your education and will be depositing money into your account, you should provide a complete package of documentation attesting to your ability to pay and the validity of the sponsorship.
List of supported documents
1. Sponsorship Letter: A formal letter from your uncle explicitly stating his willingness to sponsor your education, including the specific amount of financial support he is providing.
2. Proof of Relationship: Documents proving the familial relationship between you and your uncle, such as birth certificates or other legal documents
3. Proof of Tuition Payment: Receipts or confirmation of payment for the tuition fees for the entire program or the current semester. (if applicable)
4. Bank Statements (Yours and Your Uncle's)
5. Affidavit of Support
6. Income Proof for Your Uncle
7. Transfer Confirmation: Evidence of the fund transfer from your uncle to your account, including transaction receipts or wire transfer confirmation.

I hope this helps!!!

It is not mandatory to use payslip...
You can use the letter of employment from your place of work that states your position and the income/salary that corresponds with funds in atleast 4 months statement of account..

I'm confused right now. Should I use the old or new portal to submit my application?

Old and New portal all serves the same purpose which is transmission of Immigration applications to the IRCC. None has preferential treatment.

I have an investment certificate from Real Estate in Lagos to use as proof of funds, and I include another fund of 5 million in my salary account.

The company that I invested with is the company with which I am working, and they have issued me a certificate of investment that will cover both the tuition fee balance, living expenses, and other expenses.
The investment will mature on August 24, 2024, before the program commences for the fall semester of 2024.
I have other documents, such as
My employment letter
Pay slip
Confirmation letter
Work ID card
Study Leave Letter (Approved)
Investment Certificate
The investment contract between me and the company stated the liquidation and availability of funds on the maturity date.
A Letter of Introduction/Good Conduct from the CEO.

I would like to know if the investment certificate coming from the same company I work with won't affect the visa application.

And more importantly, are there any other documents I need to get from the company to convince the visa officer?

Thanks

When explaining the funds in your letter of explanation, you can mention that your sponsor received a substantial amount from an investment company, which appeared as a credit alert on his statement. You can clarify that this amount was intended as an investment and it was liquidated for the sole purpose of your education and not a loan for personal use. It's important to provide as much detail as possible and emphasize the purpose of the funds in supporting your study.

While I can't guarantee visa approval, I have seen similar scenarios where applicants successfully explained the source of their funds in their letters of explanation. Just make sure to be transparent and provide any supporting documentation or evidence that can validate the legitimacy of the funds. Remember, being honest and clear in your explanation is key. Good luck with your application, and let me know if you need any more help! 🤞✨

Absolutely, it is possible for the spouse of someone who previously studied in Canada and had a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP) to apply for a Study Permit as well. The spouse can apply for an Open Work Permit, also known as a Spouse or Common-Law Partner Work Permit (SOWP). This allows them to work in Canada while their partner is studying. It's a great opportunity for both of them to be in Canada together. Just make sure to check the specific eligibility requirements and application process for the SOWP. Good luck to your newly-wedded spouse on their study visa application! 🇨🇦✨

Good morning everyone,

I’ve a question on my behalf of my friend. He got a scholarship from an organization to sponsor him from his program with the plan that he comes back to work with them afterwards. This organization was responsible for his last 2 sessions tuition during his undergraduate

What are the necessary documents he needs to show?

1. Notarized Letter of introduction and scholarship letter
2. Evidence of transferred amount, i.e statement of account of both parties
3. Letter of offer of employment to back up the job offer on his arrival
4. Letter of explanation stating they paid his tuition previously or he should just forget that and focus on this scholarship.
5. What else should he add to convince the VO?

Thank you everyone

I'm here to help answer your questions about your student visa application and your husband's application. Let's dive right in:

1. When filling out your own application form, you don't need to indicate that you are applying with your spouse. In fact, it can actually be beneficial to mention that your husband will be staying back as a strong tie to your home country. This shows that you have a solid reason to return after your studies. It's all about showcasing your intentions and ties to your home country.

2. If GTBank can send the bank statement directly to the embassy, that's great! You can select the option to upload the bank statement on the application portal alongside with your supporting proof of funds documents, but make sure to mention in your explanation letter you’ve attached a copy of the mybank statement certificate with your application. This way, the embassy will be aware of the arrangement.

3. After you receive your visa and begin your husband's application, it's generally expected that you will still use your own bank account for proof of funds. However, it's always a good idea if your husband can also provide additional documentation or proof of funds in his name as well. Be sure to provide all the necessary information and documentation to support his application.

Good luck with your applications! 🤞✨

Good morning boss,
I am the main applicant and my wife is coming as my dependent, and I intend for us to apply together ie I will apply for my study permit while she applies for SOWP. We have a joint account which is where we saved the money for POF. Now my question is most of the money there was from my side hustle as my salary cannot carry that amount. I am a realtor, do I need to still show my salary account? And also for my wife’s SOWP, is it necessary for her to still show her salary account?

Please, house I need your help, I applied to 3 schools and I'm planning to apply to the 4th one for falls intake but out of the schools I received update from CIMT but I'm not going there bc of the PGWP they don't have and the next school which is Holland sent me an update with student number but no admission yet.

My questions are:

Is there hope that Holland would give me admission since they have sent me student number or I should proceed by applying to 4th school bc I don't want to miss falls intake for 2024.

I dont see people here talking about Holland, does it mean Holland isn't good enough or any issues I need to know please experts help me.

Thank you

@Frankrobbn1 and others

I totally get your concern about the admissions from Holland and not wanting to miss the fall intake. It's great that you've received a student number from them, which shows that they are processing your application. While I can't guarantee admission, having a student number is somewhat a positive sign but not assured.

As for people not talking about Holland, it doesn't necessarily mean it's not a good school. It could simply be that it's not as well-known or popular among the people you've interacted with. It's always a good idea to do some research on the school, check their accreditation, programs, and student reviews to get a better idea of its reputation.

If you're still concerned about missing the fall intake, it might be a good idea to proceed with applying to your fourth choice school as a backup plan. That way, you can have more options and increase your chances of getting accepted for the fall intake.

It's very important to choose a school that aligns with your goals and offers the programs and opportunities you're looking for. Don't hesitate to reach out to the admissions offices of the schools you're interested in for more information or clarification.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions or need further assistance. Good luck with your applications! 🤞🎓

It's great to hear about your fish pond business and your landed property. When it comes to showing evidence in your Statement of Purpose (SOP), it's generally a good idea to provide supporting documents for any claims you make. Including a picture of your fish pond could be a helpful visual representation of your business. It can showcase your dedication and expertise. So, including a picture of your fish pond could be a nice touch! 🐠📸

Additionally, registering your business with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) is indeed important. It not only provides proof of the legitimacy of your business but also adds credibility and professionalism to your venture. So, along with showcasing evidence of your fish pond, having your business registered will strengthen your application. Good luck with your application! 🐟📝

Good evening house, please must it be pay slip ? Can’t I use statement of account to show I have been working? and how many months is required.

When it comes to showing proof of employment, a pay slip is commonly used to demonstrate consistent income. However, if you don't have pay slips, a statement of account can be a valid alternative. It can show regular deposits from your employer, indicating your employment status. The number of months required is a minimum of 4 months. Hope that helps! 😊📊

Hello house. I applied for a diploma in a college in Canada & never knew the application will be granted soon..Now I was asked to pay Cad6,000 before end of this year..I was expecting some funds next year & I didn't want this opportunity to slip..What to do? Anyone who can help on this pls it's very urgent!

Hey there! I understand that you're in a bit of a tight spot with the payment deadline for your diploma program in Canada. It's great that you want to seize this opportunity! One option you could explore is reaching out to the college or financial aid office to explain your situation. They may be able to provide guidance or offer extension of payment deadline. Additionally, you could consider exploring scholarship opportunities or looking into short-term loans to cover the payment temporarily. Good luck, and I hope everything works out for you! 🤞💪

Good afternoon everyone,

I’m about to submit my visa application but I’m stuck on POF decision. My Uncle is my sponsor and he will be transferring the amount to my account. What are the things you think I’ll need to submit apart from my statement of account and his own?

NB: He’s transferring the money from his company’s account not from his personal account, but long before now he used to pay for my school fees with a transfer from the same (his) company. Also over 4 years now he’s been sending me monthly allowance (like airtime token), the amount he sent a to my account is 10K monthly. What would you advise? Thank you so much.

When it comes to proving your Proof of Funds (POF), in addition to your statement of account and your uncle's statement of account, you may want to include a letter of support from your uncle. This letter can explain the nature of the transfer from his company's account and how he has been supporting you financially over the years. It's also a good idea to include any relevant documentation, such as bank statements or transaction records, to show the regular monthly allowance he has been sending you. These additional documents can help provide a comprehensive picture of your financial situation and strengthen your visa application. Good luck with your submission! 🤞📄

Hey there!, While a newly registered business may raise some initial concerns for the visa officer, it doesn't necessarily mean it will negatively impact your visa application. The key is to provide clear and detailed documentation to demonstrate the legitimacy and stability of the business. This can include business registration documents, financial statements, previous invoices, contracts or agreements, and any other relevant information that showcases the viability and existence of the business over the past few years. It's important to present a strong case and address any potential concerns proactively in your application. Good luck, and I hope everything goes smoothly for you! 🤞📝

Hello everyone
Please I want to ask a question regarding upfront medicals. What I have been been reading here is that some student visa applicants did their medicals and uploaded it before starting or submitting their IMM visa forms. Is there a way to submit the visa forms first before going for upfront medicals without waiting to receive the message from IRCC to proceed on medicals.
I also want to do upfront medicals. I don't know how it works
