We want members of public to beware of the oil they are buying.... I have taken time to go around and see for myself .

During my findings I noticed few difference between fake Mobil 1 oil and original ....

And also the currant cost of Mobil 1 oil at Mobil station .. The ones sold at Mobil 1 station is not USA brand and it sells at 51,500....


1. The original Mobil 1 will let you scan the barcode. While the fake you can't scan it .

2. The original Mobil 1 has a manufacture date on the back (pic1) below .. While the fake does not have

3. If you pay close attention. The original Mobil 1 has a plastered Mobil 1 logo (pic2) .The little scratch I made was me trying to peal off the front off ..... The fake is copied on the keg ..

If all fails just download free scantrust q code from Google . scan the barcode (pic3) . once you scan it will take you to Mobil 1 website and tells you the specific of the oil weight e.g 5w-20 , 5w40, 5w30 etc

I could go on and on about how to differentiate fake oil from original . But there is no need for that

The Mobil 1 that import are from the USA . So the qr scan code are at the back(pic3) . And the manufacture date is also at the back (pic2). And Mobil 1 in video manufacture date is at the edge of the cover

The Mobil 1 you posted is From Singapore and labeling is different from the USA . And the Mobil 1 in the video seems like an old Mobil design ......

The currant Mobil 1 has an added design to its kegs. (Pic 1) new design . triple action new Formula

All the same both are original from both countries. Let us try to avoid confusing the public ...........

So where can one buy original engine oil

No original engine oil. Even the one from usa most are fake. Go to amazon and read reviews.u go tire. To see original oil and test if its original. I'm still learning. But soon I would do a video...too many fake oils repackaged inside an original container with scannable bar code with results. How worse can it get. We need to test the oil specially with tools before e enter engine.
